More log screenshots

Here are a few more screenshots of airfields in the process of reconstruction. I have completed the tree upgrades in the Seattle region, and I am now working my way through adding logs to the runways and parking areas at most of the small airfields. When this is complete, I will start adding a few fences, hangars, fuel tanks, light towers, fire towers (where applicable) and pylons.I still have a LOT to do :-)1. Excellent, Chris. I think the logs provide the visual cues that you would see in real life as the transition from the rough outside terrain to the prepared surface, and since we don't have 200 pixel/m res we can't see those cues. The logs are a fine substitute.But I still wish you'd use some of the small log as well!RobD.

Robert,Some of the airfields will require tractor tyres (kindly supplied by Jon Point), since they aren't flat enough for logs. In fact, one or two may well be a combination of both. Airfields that I have singled out for potential tractor tyre upgrades are Flying Carpet, Leisureland Airpark, Frontier Airpark, and Kimshan Ranch. I have already created a tyre runway at Bergseth Field (together with a new log defined parking area), and there is a section of "tractor tyre taxiway" now connecting the log defined runway and parking areas at Easton State.One other airfield that may get the tyre treatment is Black Diamond. I have already added logs to the runway there, but I am debating whether to add tyres to the vast majority of the runway. The northern section is on a bit of a slope, which suits tyres far more than logs. I will experiment to see what looks good.Chris Low,ENGLAND.
