FLED Book Mark Manager

Recommended Posts

Book mark management inside FLED is rather poor, but using this utility you can Load and view the FLED Bookmark file flbookmf.dat as tree view. Load the book mark from the points of interest file POI.TXT Edit label text and values directly inside the tree view Save the result back to flbookmk.dat or another file as binary backup Export the result as points of interest file, POI.txt or other name.txt Selecting by check mark the book marks you want save in the file Sort the book marks by label text Now you can create versions of book mark files and/or points of interest Each book mark in FLED has Text label UTM coordinate X UTM coordinate Y Height above sealevel Backup your flbookmk.dat and poi.txt before using this tool !All load and save operations are using a file dialog box. You can work outside of the fu3 area.To convert the book mark into a point of interest we must find a way to save the height inside poi.txt. The solution is appending the height value prefixed by ft, unfortunately this will also be displayed in the POI window during flight selection and as chosen starting point. http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/flbookmk.jpgmore info at http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/upload to avsim lib in the next days :-):-wave agtim

Andre,Wow :-eekI always stuff up my bookmarks and end up with cryptic names which mean nothing to me next time! ALso, the way that FLED rearranges the bookmarks makes selecting the last one difficult.I'm embarking on some FLED work shortly so this will help (those of you that find FLED infuriating - spare a thought for us aircraft creators who use FLED for 'light' relief :-lol ):-waveJon Point*************************(effyouthree@hotmail.com)*************************

That's extraordinary agtim - you're a genius! This is a very handy little invention. With your programming skills, can I put in a little request? A new version of FLED? Easy for Jon to use, maybe, but for us mere mortals its a Paine Field, Seattle in the Butte Wharf, Cardiff.By Friday would be fine, if you're busy (just joking).RobD.

Thanks for your positive feedback Robert and Jon,Yes a new FLED - very difficult, FLED is not so bad, but they haven't enough time to debug it full. The Check program is in the pipeline so you can then check a package for completeness and may be built as a new version of Gideon's ModelViewer.still under contruction... :-wave agtim
