May 6, 200422 yr Jon,Attack Squadron files are all open. Meaning no .res, .mip or .tag as in Flight Unlimited series(yipee!). The developers provide them zipped together as .crf files as they had done for Thief series. Winzip or most any zip program can open .crf's. For Jas however I just rename the mesh.crf to mesh.zip and open all into the same folder. With-in this folder are all the models and textures Jas uses. Models are .bin, textures are .tga.Example P51D: Its model folder contains all its model details -.bin format, textures to include damage- .tga format, aircraft and cockpit axles, flight physics -editable with notepad, sound files -.wav.Whats really unfortunate is there are NO aircraft lights either interior or exterior. I've always suspected that adapting Flight3's methods for aircraft lighting might work on these Jas aircraft. Good test mule might be the P51; figure a way to fix lighting for Jas, see how smoke and contrails work for the Jas P51 and determine if they can be applied to Flight3's P51.Screen shots of the folder structure. The whole P51 folder, it's 7.7mb zipped. To big to email. I'll think of a way though. Maybe use "splits" or winzip or winrar to break it down so it's emailable.late for work. Have to go. I will get the P51D folder sent to you if you'd like to have it, one way or another.JimBhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74749.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74750.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74751.jpg
May 6, 200422 yr Jim,That'd be great! You can probably leave the external textures out - might save some space ;) And possibly some sounds.Could be interesting :-wave Regards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
