MSFS faithful thinking of x-plane, have questions

Recommended Posts

ok I have read the forums and been to the site several times but I have some basic questions about x-plane that I would like to know. 1. how good are the VC's?? Do some come as good and as functional as say the PMDG 737 or any of the flight1 aircraft??2. does ATC exist??3. are there any addons that will add traffic?

>1. how good are the VC's?? Do some come as good and as>functional as say the PMDG 737 or any of the flight1>aircraft??I'll split the question in two.If we're talking about systems and avionics modeling (hydraulics, FMC, GPS map) then there are no aircraft with a complexity comparable to PMDG.Regarding GA, the main equipment still missing in X-Plane is a GPS with a moving map.If we're talking about VC's, then there are more and more aircraft equipped with high quality and functional VC's.Keep in mind you generally have higher FPS and smoother instruments in VC when compared to MSFS, especially if there's a glass cockpit.Among the best VC's:All aircrafts from Windsocks ( http://www.windsocks.fr/aircrafts/aircrafts.html )Hughes 500D by BrettS and Propsman ( http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?autoco...s&showfile=3130 )EC120 by Propsman ( http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?autoco...s&showfile=3649 )Falcon 7X by After ( http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?autoco...s&showfile=3940 )737-800 by XPFW, needs registering ( http://www.xplanefreeware.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=156 )757-200 by XPFW, needs registering ( http://www.xplanefreeware.net/forums/index...?showtopic=5327 )Some of the a/c's of Paolo Matricardi ( http://www.ilmioatelier.com/I%20miei%20X-PlanesEN.html )You can try all of them in the demo.P92 and Storch S by dmax, payware ( www.dmax.it )>2. does ATC exist??Yes but it's very basic, even if compared with MSFS ATC.>3. are there any addons that will add traffic? http://www.fsimp.com/ but I don't know its features and capabilities since I don't have it.Marco

I'm MSFS faithful too, but it never hurts to have two or three sims... :7 L.Adamson --- FS9,FSX, X-Plane 8.60 w/global scenery, X-Plane 9.22 demo
