Is v3 an upgrade or seperate product?

Featured Replies

Hi allJust seen the new site and it says that existing users can get an upgrade. Is it necessary to have v2.2 installed for this upgrade to work or should we un-install v2.2 prior to installing v3.0?The reason I ask is that since buying the new PC and FS2002 I haven't installed v2.2 as I have been waiting for v3 to be releasedThanks in advance and apologies if this has already been answered elsewhereJohn

John,V3 is a completely new product. RC is no longer an adventure compiler, it's a full-fledged stand-alone program. You need to install from the CD and you can delete any older version if you wish, including all the fleetwood wavs in the FS folders.

Thanks Scott and Kenny, really looking forward to having some decent ATC again, talk about not knowing what you've got 'til it's gone, I even miss getting told off by the guy at the end :)John

John, Had to crack up at that comment about getting chewed out at the end of your flight! :-lol I did a little test for JD last nite flying around N. Calif., doing MA's, CoD's, flying off to my Alt #1 and #2, busting my altitude/heading. In general I tried as hard as I could to break it somehow but alas, all for not as RC performed flawlessly, including the roasting I got from FSDO at the end. Boy, was Bill Stephens ticked off! :-8 The term "upgrade" might be confusing at first but really only means a special pricing for those moving from Ver 2.2 to Ver 3.Best, Rob

Thanks Rob, I can't wait to re-new my "friendship" with Bill :) I'm just reading the manual now, it looks fantastic, I really can't wait.Best regardsJohn
