December 9, 200223 yr Hi All,In case there are other people out there as dense as I sometimes am *:-* I thought I would pass something on to you. I am using Flight Assistant :-halo for all of my RCV3 commands and I was happily creating verbal commands for all of the menu items, tons of them, and assigning keys 1 - 9 whatever the command key was for the command. :( All of a sudden my brain actually cut in :-rotor and said 'Hey! Just do one thru nine and assign 1 - 9 to each one and thats it! Ten commands, including 0 instead of 1010 commands.' Read the RCV3 menu and just say whatever number it is you want, 1 - 9. The verbel command then executes. :-beerchug The above thought proceedure is why I'll never make it to MARS this lifetime. :-ufo2 Gary
December 9, 200223 yr Gary,Don't forget to add the CP comms and plane toggle. Also, to make it more realistic, uncheck pilot auto-reply and add "Ack" and "Unable" and "Repeat" commands. You should also consider the plane functions - gear, flaps, spoiler, etc. Do everything by voice. ;-)Voice command is exactly the ticket for turning off pilot auto-reply. It then gives you more control of RC.I just got Flight Assistant and am looking forward to it. This program just goes to show what cool freebie stuff is out there.
December 9, 200223 yr I got it and use it also, it is great. Someone stated on this forum that they used "Roger" for 1, "Wilco" for 2, ect... to make your voice command a little bit more 'in the feel' so to speak. I use mine with just the simple "one", "two", ect...It would be nice to expand this thread for folks to post up what they are actually using, I bet there are some great configurations out there :-) CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
December 10, 200223 yr Hi all,As an alternative to Flight Assistant you may want to consider Game Commander 2 by Mindmaker, Inc. It features a very user-friendly interface and an excellent speaker-independent voice recognition system. the main advantage of Game Commander 2 over Flight Assistant lies in its ability to provide various types of keystroke actions, such as up/down, auto repeat, configurable keystroke duration, and cycling of keys in sequence. While not freeware, Game Commander is not very expensive. It can be downloaded from the Mindmaker web site http://www.mindmaker.com for USD$29.95 or purchased as a package with CD and a nifty noise-cancelling microphone for USD$39.95.I have no connection with Mindmaker, Inc. other than as a user of their product.Sandy Seidler
December 10, 200223 yr I have changed the menu keys 1-5 for RCv3 to CS1 - CS5. Can I use Flight Assistant or Game Commander to execute CS1 when I say "1"? Or do I have to say "control shift 1"?
December 10, 200223 yr IF you program FlightAssistant to use CS1, etc. for the 1 key or any of the keys all you have to say is 'one' or whatever command you put in the first box for that programmable key. It takes that user input, whatever you choose, and when you say that word it will then activate the key programmed for that word. For example:Box 1: OneBox 2: 1Box 3: ^+1 - (progam keys for control-shift one)The above is for FlightAssistant only.Cheers,Gary
December 10, 200223 yr Box 3: ^+1 (progam keys for control-shift one)Note - There is no dash after ^+1Gary
