Go around, what dictates this?

Featured Replies

In RCv3, I think I understood that RC cannot discern FS AI ground traffic. If this is so, what parameters dictate a go around in RC? I ask because I seem to get a lot of these (about 50% of the time) with nominal AI settings. When I do get the go around, about half of that time there is no AI on the taxiways for the landing runway.I have reviewed the manual, if it is indeed in there please let me know.

Mike, This is being discussed by the developers right now. Seems to be a particular setup problem and I'm sure some news will come out pretty soon. I almost never get a go around! Only if I haven't lowered my gear and get inside that 2 mile from runway area have I seen one. I don't use multiple monitors, pc's, or WideFS, just plain vanilla on a 1.4 AMD, 512 MB DDR RAM GForce 2 64 MB DDR. I've also never experienced slow wavs. Knock on wood!Best, Robps to answer your actual question the parameters are: 1. having your gear up within two miles 2. random call (but rare as hen's teeth for me)

Rare for me using one PC, almost 85% of the time (mostly telling me my gear wasn't down on short final when it was) on two PC's using WideFS.
