COM 2

Featured Replies

Here is possibly a dumb question. How do I use my COM2 as well as my COM1 radio to communicate with RC3.Even when I set COM2 as the active audio source its ignored by RC3.Any suggestions?ThanksDavid

David,Direct from the manual:Making use of FS2002 ATC for your chatterBy Scott Campbell. The principle is that RC always uses Comm1 radio. If you activate Comm2, you can use this set to listen to the very realistic FS ATC chatter. This option is recommended if you

David,RC uses only Comm 1. It doesn't care what is active. That way you can use Comm 2 to monitor FSATC.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping that I could use both radios with RC, but I guess not. I guess I can use COM 2 for ATIS from FSATC.I actually have hardware avionics (Flight Links KR-1).Thanks

Could you elaborate a bit on this part?11) To set Comm 2 as the active to listen to 2K2 ATC, open the "comm2 and audio" window from the "Views/Instrument Panel" menu pull down, or if you know how to open windows from the keyboard, open it.12) Click on "Comm 2" on the Audio Panel, and make sure "BTH" (Both) is off.Where is the "comm2 and audio" window? Are you referring to the "Views" tab in FS2K? I clicked on that and there is a "Panel" Pull down. But there is no "comm2 and audio" window (that I can find). When selecting the Views/Instrument Panel, the Radio Stack of the current panel is displayed, and I saw no option to make sure "Bth" (Both) is off.Where did I go wrong? Thanks,Jim w.
