Contoller voice speed with winXP Pro

Featured Replies

I am using Win XP Pro and have RC3.01 set at ABOVENORMAL and the controller voices and responses still seem slow in relation to the pilot and Otto.I tried changing it to high priority and the program would not load.Is there any other solution or am expecting too much? Thanks,Ron

Hi Ron,It sounds like you are trying to use the old method we were using to speed up wav processing. RCv3.01 added command line switches to do the same thing. Please change your target line in your RCv3 shortcut to this:"c:program filesrcv30rcv3.exe" /realtimeIf that does not work try:"c:program filesrcv30rcv3.exe" /highPlease note if you have Radar Contact installed to another folder besides c:program filesrcv30 please make the appropriate changes to your target line.

>Please change your target line in your RCv3 shortcut to >this: >>"c:program filesrcv30rcv3.exe" /realtime >>If that does not work try: >>"c:program filesrcv30rcv3.exe" /high I would try that in the opposite order. Forcing the operating system to proritize certain tasks can cause (in)frequent lock-ups and other nasty problems, so it's best not to overdo it.BTW, I'm surprised that there's no /abovenormal argument available. I used to run 3.0 at that priority, and it worked well for me.
