I have been using RC since FS2K & v2 and love it. Currently my flights in FS2K2 are using DF 737, Simflyers for all airports I fly, MyTraffic NG and FSMeteo. On approach I am assigned a runway contrary to the wind direction and AI aircraft are taking off in the opposite direction I am landing. Though I can request another runway, by default I am always assigned one that is downwind, whats up? Is there a setting I need to check/change somewhere? Takeoff runway assignments are appropriate, this only happens on approach.Thanks.FL_Flyer

this has been an issue discussed many times on this forum. The current release of RC dictates that; first - you will always be assigned a ILS runway if one exist.second - if mutilple ILS runways are present, you will get one with the wind (I think - possibly the longest)third - you will get a wind runway if no ILS existThis is my understanding at this point. Possibly in future releases this can be revised to reflect a more realistic default procedures for IMC and Visual approaches with wind factors.
