May 16, 200323 yr Hello, What may be the reason for ATC to repeatedly give the Barometric Pressure when we are at FL330 in the cruise phase of flight. Of course the copilot responds by setting the altimeter. My TA's for Departure, Cruise and Arrival airports are set to 18000. Am I initially setting the Radar Contact TA incorrectly? Is 18000 the wrong value for US continental flights? Thanks
May 16, 200323 yr Moderator Hi,Instead of entering 18000 for the TL try 180. That should solve any problems.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). May 18, 200323 yr Hi Ray, You were 100% correct with your advice as to the Transition Level data format. The outcome worked just fine. To my embarrassment that information, on Page 82 of the manual, clearly states this format. I apologize now for asking such a stupid question. All I had to do is read, read and again read the manual. Thanks and Regards
May 18, 200323 yr Moderator Hi Blais,Glad to hear it worked for you. Don't worry about not reading the manual. I'm one of the world's worst!Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
