September 15, 200421 yr HiTwice recently at Leeds Bradford, UK I have been given the instruction to "Go Around" But having complied I am not given the option to reply and the next instuction received is "Contact Ground" with the only option to "Taxi to the ramp"Is it me or does RC not handle Go Arounds?ThanksGeoff
September 16, 200421 yr Moderator Geoff,RC does handle GAs. Having been give the command you should raise gear and climb. RC will detectt this and then tell you to contact Approach who will give you a heading and altitude to maintain. There is no acknowledgement for the GA. You'll then be given a series of heading and altitude changes to bring you around for a landing. If you are told to contact Ground it sounds as though your climb rate wasn't detected for some reason and RC thinks you're on the runway. This feature has been tested exhaustively and does work. All I can suggest is you report if it happens again.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). September 16, 200421 yr Thanks RayI think the problem lies in the new Beta version or in FS2004, I never had this problem before in FS2002. However I will increase the pitch a little next time and see what happens.Thanx againGeoff
September 16, 200421 yr Moderator Geoff,Make sure you're using the latest version of RC. On the first page of the forum the second entry gives a link to the download of build 2269 v3.1. That will work fine with FS2004.You'll hear your pilot say "We've got it" or something similar when you climb - that's your indication that RC has detected you're climbing. Gear up, climb at 1500fpm at 180kts and raise flaps to 5 for a B737. That should work.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). September 21, 200421 yr Thanks Ray,I think I've solved it now. Reckon I wasn't retracting the landing gear quick enough. Have just completed two GA's at Leeds Bradford with no problems.Geoff
