January 3, 200620 yr I looked in the forum for an answer to this, but no luck. Why isn't "EMERGENCY" always present as a choice in RC4? I had an engine failure (generated intentionally by a setting in FSPassenger), fairly close to the destination, but I could not declare an EMERGENCY to RC4. Is there a reason for this?
January 3, 200620 yr Good question.Probably not quite as good an answer ;-)I can't, off the top of my head, remember at what point declaring an emergency is no longer a menu option. With approach there are other options you can use to get you down on the ground swiftly (request short final, request a particular approach to any runway). Probably something we should think about. All the best,John
January 3, 200620 yr Hi there,I just flew to refresh my memory ;-)Declaring an emergency was available up until the point at which I was turned onto final. After this the logic behind the emergency option (choosing where you want to go etc.) is essentially redundant, at this point you want to carry on and land.I guess what we could, possibly, do with here is an option to inform the controllers we have a problem without all the 'choosing where we want to go' stuff. All the best,John
