March 16, 200719 yr I am a new user of RC and wonder how I can make it catch up when I use the map move along a long e.g. UK to USA flight? Is there a way to make it recognise where I have moved to ? I am using FSNAV but RC doesn't seem to recognise if I use the move aircraft option here either.Otherwise the programme is great. In an ideal world it would swith to a different voice bank for each continent.Thanksandy
March 16, 200719 yr Moderator Andy,If I understand you correctly you want RC to detect that you have moved your aircraft to a new location on a long haul flight. Why would you do that? You can increase the simulation rate to x4 - the highest recommended - and RC should keep track as you pass waypoints. As for more voices per continent we need more volunteers.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). March 16, 200719 yr Thanks for the response - there are times when I just want to fly the interesting stuff like departures and arrivals and even at 4 times sim rate the flight takes way too long so I just move along the flight plan on the map. I also notice you use a Dell monitor- I was consdiering one of the high res ones - how have you found it?Andy
March 16, 200719 yr Moderator Hi Andy,<>Unfortunately you cannot use RC in this manner. Try shorter fights. One I use for testing is Manchester-Dublin, about 100 miles. Another is San Diego-LAX.Many people get bored with the middle bit. You're not alone :-)The Dell is great at 1920*1200 but you do need a serious graphics card to keep the frame rates up at such a high res. Plenty of memory is essential. The views are tremendous.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
