Realistic A320 flight dynamics?

Featured Replies

I was wondering if someone could point me to a set of (reasonably) accurate flight dynamics for an A320. I've been using Mike Stone's Airbuses, but they seem a bit too powerful. I downloaded an .air and .cfg file for one and the engines felt better, but it rolled like an F-16.

Airbus flight dynamics are extremely hard to duplicate in FS because of the way the computer in the real ones is making constant control inputs and intercepting the actual physical input signal from the sidesticks and adjusting it. The real plane has no trim, the computers will hold whatever pitch and bank angle you command indefinitely. This is WAY different than the Boeing style flight dynamics that FS is built on.The PSS Airbus is the only one out that's attempted to simulate this so far... Dreamfleet has an A340 coming out that will attempt to do it as well.

If you didn't say something, I never would've known and have been perfectly happy! :D The PSD dynamics feel pretty good. I'm going to stick with that until I can actually fly and enjoy an airliner, then I may step up to the PSS (I love those VC's, ya know!). Thanks for the link.
