  1. Hi allI thought you might enjoy this super panoramic view of the space shuttle Discovery. You can zoom in and actually read some of the switch labels. Nice!Don't get seasick.See it here ---> http://360vr.com/2011/06/22-discovery-flight-deck-opf_6236/index.htmlregardsWalt in Centennial, CO
  2. Hi allI thought you might enjoy this neat YouTube video. It's a cockpit view of a twilight landing at LAX compressed into about 4 minutes. After starting the video, go to the lower portion of the screen, select 720p andmake it a full screen display. Full screen mode really enhances the experience! (I could have done without the music)Find it here ---> http://www.wxpnews.com/110208-TwilightregardsWalt
  3. Hi allThought you would like to see a 360 view of the Airbus 380 cockpit. The control panel is mind-boggling !!!!!Consider the incredible power of the human brain, not just to develop this amazing technology-- but for the ability to sit in the seat, and understand what in the heck all this means-- and WORK IT in proper sequence to accomplish a predetermined purpose!!! As you move your cursor you can see the whole cockpit from top to bottom. You can even zoom on the dash. This 360-degree panorama unlike any other.. It's a picture of an Airbus A380's cockpit. Be sure to go to full screen. The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world. It can seat more than 850 people. Only a couple of the planes are in service. So, you'll probably have to wait for your first ride. Until then, check out its state-of-the-art controls VIEW IT HERE >>>>>>>> http://www.gillesvidal.com/blogpano/cockpit1.htmregardsWalt Centennial, CO

  5. Could someone walk me through the installation of High Definition Environment clouds (hde_1_0.zip)My elderly mind can't seem to grasp the intent of the authors installation instructions. Thanks in advance for any advice.Walt in CO
  6. JoshuaBLESS YOU SIR!I don't have a clue as to why or how but Ctrl-F4 did something for sure. I tried it at TEB , APA and Meigs in the Arrow, the Mooney and the default Cessna and I AM BACK IN BUSINESS! I can once again reach redline! Thanks for all the help folks.I'll say it again, it may be all we have but at times MS Flight Simulator can sure get tedious. Thanks again.Walt in CO
  7. Thanks for all of the input, still no luck here. I don't have FSUIPC and now I am using only the keyboard to troubleshoot this @#$%^& problem. At the latest test airport (TEB) the altitude was +13'. I was using the default MS Cessna 172 at Meigs and the Carenado Mooney at COS when the engines stalled. (rpm dropped to 0 = no running engine) (bad fuel?) HA! Googling the problem, I found someone way back in 2004 on Airliners.net with the exact same problem but he didn't find a fix.As for Alt-F4 then F4, my XP computer closes the active program when Alt-F4 is pressed. While writing this I went back to settings and enabled "Ignore Crashes & Damage" and "Auto mixture"... F4 gives 2100rpm (sigh).Microsoft...I'm still glad I met 'ya but I sure wish that FLY! could have stayed in business and thrived! Imagine the possibilities...Walt
  8. BjornThanks for the suggestion. Regenerating the cfg file did not fix the problem. I still have 2100rpm max using just the F4 key.regardsWalt
  9. Hi allMy XP install of FS9 has done something strange lately. I can no longer go to full throttle! Regardless of scenario or aircraft selected, the engine rpm maxes out around 2100! Engines also tend to stall at idle. I have re-calibrated my joystick with everything looking as it always has. I made sure sensitivity is on max and null is on min. Raw data during calibration shows throttle going from approx. 5 to 85. I have compared all references to throttle in the cfg file with saved cfg files from years ago and can't see any differences.Today, I disabled the joystick and just tried F4 on the keyboard with the same effect...2100 rpm max.If anyone has any suggestions, I sure would appreciate some input as I am out of ideas and don't want to start over with a complete FS9 re-install. thanks to all for readingWalt in Centennial, CO
  10. Hi allWhen I am heading south along the Hudson River towards NYC, I notice that the GPS map stops the river just north of the GW bridge. The river is there when I look out of the aircraft, so I wonder if I have a missing or corrupted file somewhere and where it might be found? Can anyone else duplicate this problem?I am using FS9 with the upgrade, USA roads and NYC MegaScenery. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.WF
