  1. Thanks for the reply, guys!

i've had this issue with EDDM before (mega airport). i assume you only have this problem arriving, not departing when you load up the sim there?

i fixed it changing the position of the airport in the scenery.cfg. maybe try moving it higher?

Yes, thats correct. I did fly from KIAD as UAE232 and everything was and is smooth as silk, when I took the picture I had FPS @ 28 and no performance problems. Tough this only happens on arrival.

  2. It's kinda "wrong" in one way to turn your simulator up-side-down to make an aircraft work without OOM. I know it's not entirely PMDG's fault, but they did build a perfect fit, 100% working NGX which can be flown into most areas without crash.

I have not recieved any OOM's in the crash matters with the 777, but its no fun at all to fly into airports which misses alot of buildings and stuff after 8-10 hours.

Too bad there arent a buttom to push which makes the 777 just a little lighter on the VAS.

  3. The framerates are great, but even tough if I fly a 1hr LEG or a 14hr LEG, there is always something strange happening to the destination airport. Now, flying to a default airport - just to test, the runway markings were gone. (Restart FS, and the markings are back) Is this plane really THAT hard on the memory?

  4. Guys,

I have tried two ultra longhauls now, DXB-SFO and JFK-DXB - on both occasions the terminals were gone upon arrival. The first flight i could imagine it was the FlightBeam AddonManager causing it, but this morning when I was landing in DXB everything seemed fine until I was off the runway, the gates was there and all other buildings was fine but the main terminals was not showing. The framerates was 30+ and no lags, and this has never happend before with other planes.

My specs. are in my sig. and should be enough to cover the 777.

  5. Hi!

Just out of curiosity, I've been flying the PMDG 772L some flights lately, I've discovered that even tough my FPS are 30+ in most cases I do have some 2-3 sec. lags when using OPUS. I tried OPUS with the NGX and I did not notice any lag there and also flying the 777 not using real weather the small stut's was gone.

Is it some settings in OPUS that may cause this? (GRIB's or something?) Strange I never saw this flying the NGX.

And it mainly happens during ground operations and taxi..

  6. I just finished OMDB-KSFO in the 77L, 14h43min - enroute was fine, but @ SFO all the buildings were gone - this might be a memory problem but it also may be the Addon Manager used by FlightB.

  7. So the 777 are more sensitive for the "minimal" of programs I have in the back, which I need to network and Win7 reasons, than ex. the NGX? (Which btw gives me no stutters at all)

As I said earlier, my FSX runs stable on 40fps almost all over, and this is not a performance problem.

  8. I know there are similar threads in this forum and the easy answer is hardware, well it's not. I have this small issue on the 777, and only the 777.

Currently enroute from Amsterdam to New York I have had, since the startup some hicks similar to the one shown in one of the BETA videos, where FSUIPC did some datasave, I dont have this enabled, but I still have this lockup for some seconds, and I hate that to happend on final approach.

Specs are in my sig. and everything else works fine.

  10.

Should we trust PFPX when it comes to the NGX and soon to be released 777 for computing fuel?

You can trust PFPX with your life. The parameters for the 772LR was given to the developers directly from PMDG which again got them from Boeing. Just make sure you have updated the nav-database to 1309 and you should be all set!

I'm really looking forward to planning the DXB-SFO route and see how good it really is :)

  11. Hi!

After installing the latest release, I've had a lot of cloudshiting on CRZ. I'm using the same settings as I always have been, and my WX-refresh is set to 20min. It seems tough, when I get up in high altitudes /+15000ft the weather updates all the time, like every 30-40sec and the clouds never "keeps it's position".

When using the earlier build, the clouds on CRZ changed more smooth and never went from overcast to sct f.ex. in 0.1 sec.

    Tips for settings?
