  1. As Skinner said, although it is not a fun thing to do, a complete reinstall, piece by piece will help your system run better. And as a bonus, will help you find out exactly what is eating your fps. It is usually not the aircraft, but interaction with something else in FS which eats frames.

  2. Another good topic To illustrate just how good GPS is getting there are 3 oceanic tests of a system known as ATOPS, Which uses GPS and radio telemetry to track position far out over water. This has allowed reduction of in- trail spacing to as low as 30 - 50 miles instead of the 100 miles in trail in use over the NAT system. NY, ZAK, and ZHU oceanic sectors have been using these for a couple of years now.

  3. Good topicI have a similar repertoire; first I decide where to fly, then I go to flightaware to find the routes used that day. Next I go to Airnav and get the WX for departure field and appropriate SID. I then fire up multicore environment to get FSX and ASE rolling, load my A/C du joir, start FS2Crew, and get everything ready for my flight.. The whole process takes about 30 minutes, which means I only get to fly on weekends, but that's another story. Next step is to fire up squawkbox and begin my flight

  4. DanYou crack me up man. Folks like you have read here before, these folks do not rush a plane out, they take their time and make it nearly perfect in the first release. Those who have been buying from them for a long time, know it and are patient. It will be released when it is right and not a moment sooner, at the most there will be 1 patch as a follow up for odd anomolies that come from different systems.Patience is a virtue, so be virtuous.

  5. Hi again another short and sweet bit about transitioning Bravos. I have flown the NY class B on the Hudson route from NJ. Our transition to Bravo airspace is the Verrazano Bridge so we check in with Newark Airport prior to that point, on our way north up the Hudson near 24t st. we're handed off to LGA tower for the trip north to the Central park crossing and stay with him until we are handed back to EWR prior to Governors island. You ask for clearance through the B once at Verrz checkpoint and are handed tower to tower as long as you remain in the B. You are cleared out of the Bravo when done, it is a lot simpler than it sounds.

  6. I'll give you a real simple way of remembering what to do with radials. I fly out of KEWR, if I am going south to let's say MIA, when I get on my initial departure heading I am told to intercept the COL 350 radial inbound. Now where I am 350 would send me the opposite way, so I fly the reciprocal heading of 170 to the VOR. On your autopilot the course( or OBS heading) you set is the direction you wish to fly. A VOR is set up like a highway interchange using compass direction to define the radials, all radials are named for the heading FROM the VOR. So the 350 radial I spoke of earlier is an outbound heading FROM the VOR. Also line of sight withstanding VOR strength is constant in all directions. The "O" in VOR stands for OMNI meaning all directions.
