  1. Thanks.I actually sent off a support request to Just Flight on this issue and they replied with the same answer, so I take that as confirmation that this is the definitive solution to this particular issue. It was the "overflow" part that made me think that the default flights folder contents were a problem.Nige
  2. Hi Mark, thanks for your reply.I found a few other references by searching more specifically for the "buffer overflow detected!" error message.Going by the other posts, there were a few steps to try - the error was being generated at the press of the "FS Flight Pln" button on the CDU - so not likely to be the plan itself ( I use FSNav btw).I deleted and archived most of the flights in the default flights folder, and the problem is now solved, but thanks again.Nige
  3. Apologies if this question has already been answered elsewhere - I searched the forums and found nothing.I have the Just Flight disc version of the 777 - patched to SP2. I've had it a few years now, but only recently got round to using it.The problem is, that when I use the CDU to import an FS Flight plan, either FS9 closes silently, or I get a Stop dialog referencing a Visual C++ overflow runtime error, and then FS9 closes.I've reinstalled the 777 from scratch, and I start FS9 with a default aircraft before loading the 777.Does anyone have any ideas please?ThanksNige
  4. Rob,Sorry, should have mentioned it:"Disconnect elevator trim axis for A/P" was the FSUIPC setting causing the problem. If its checked, then the Airbus goes bananas!I recall that I was trying to see if I could alleviate the Feelthere EMB145's response to my yoke when the autopilot is on (wanders all over the shop!). I must have misunderstood this setting in FSUIPC and checked it - but made the schoolboy error of not unchecking it when it had no effect on the 145!There's another post with the same problem/solution on this forum.
  5. Sorry - Can you delete this post please!I eventually found the post that solved it - FSUIPC setting!
  6. I used to love this plane!*used to* being the operative words.Flew it a few months ago - no problems at all.Flew the A319 today, and the autopilot just will not respond properly.I've spent the whole afternoon setting up a flightplan, taking off, manually flying up to about 9,000 ft, then engaging the autopilot, only for the plane to plummet to the ground.Trying to expedite a climb, and the plane just keeps on climbing, even though the ALT aquired light come on as it thunders through.Try to descend, and it totally ignores the ALT setting.I've tried:Loading default flight before AirbusSetting pitch to -2.0UPMaking sure speed isn't too high.I've flown this plane many times before with no problems.I hope it's just a co-incidence that I just installed the PSS 777, but this could have anything to do with this behaviour? Thanks
  7. I think this problem arises from the fact that:(a) The installation notes refer to the Load Manager being placed on the desktop (which is wasn't in my case, even after a re-install)(:( Although there is a PMDG folder, and yes, even sub-folders for each plane, the load managers are in the main PMDG folder rather than in (the more logical) plane's sub-folder.Consistency of approach is all that's needed. If a program installs sub-folders, then install everything related to the product in its own sub-folder. Or at the very least get the documentation to tally with what actually happens. And on the subject of the forums, there are currently 886 pages covering all PMDG's products. Surely that's enough to warrant a sub-forum for each?
  8. Dave,Look in ...Flight Simulator 9PMDGThe file is called 747400_LoadManager.exeSeems the PMDG installer takes its cue from these forums and just thows everything into the same big pot. Presumably so us users can have "fun" searching through everything to find what we want.
  9. Erm....Uninstalled.Redownloaded.Re-Installed.Still no Load Manager on the desktop, but this time found it in the main PMDG folder.
  10. Thanks.Strange that the sales pages are sub-divided, the downloads are sub-divided, the liveries are sub-divided but the forum is one big heap, where searching for load manager returns nearly 400 results!Oh dear, I was afraid of that! The download speed from PMDG is incredibly slow for me - Currently chugging away at 50KB/sec on a 2Mb connection (and my download speed for other sites is ok at the moment). Thanks again, I'll just have to wait....
  11. Hi!Just installed the 747-400 and searched the entire forum for an answer, but couldn't find the answer!I have no Load Manager. Have I missed something, and the Load Manager is installed via a separate download?Nothing on the desktop, nothing in the PMDG folder, nor the aircraft folder.Secondly, given that PMDG now has quite a few products, would it not be sensible to sub-divide the forum so that it's easy to search/browse under a particualr topic?ThanksNige
  12. Thanks for the replies!Looks like a bug then, or rather 2:1. VC panel light comes on automatically at night. Therefore, switching from VC to 2D switches the 2D panel light on.2. No Dome Light in 2D view.I won't hold my breath for a fix though. Now that PMDG are busy with the new baby!!
  13. Me again!Could someone do me a favour and let me know if you get this problem? Then I can stop worrying about it if it's a limitation rather than a specific problem with my set-up!Thanks
