  1. Hi guys, Recently bought FSX Gold Ed, to make use of the Simconnect facility with SB4 on my Laptop to cure insertion errors - seems to work. Reinstalled PMDG B747X, now that I am able undertake long trips. Installation was trouble free however, when I fired up FSX and set my B747 at EGLL I could not get the battery switch to operate, nor would the APU operate it would switch on. There were no instruments, no control surface movements, the nose wheel was at 90degrees to the centreline, yet the engines were running, so I gave it a go. Taxied out lined up and took off. All controls inputs worked, but no movement of surfaces. On the FSX menu bar, under addons, there was no PMDG info. The B747 was installed on the standard FSX edition and worked well. So can anyone point me in the right direction with this issue, I would be most grateful. Many thanks. Regards Sam Sambrook Sunny UK (not really, sunny I mean) P.S. Hope this is clear enough
  2. Thanks for that, have tried but they sent me to Aerosoft and am still waiting (two weeks)
  3. Hi,I recently purchased a boxed copy of PMDG's B747-400 (FS9) - not new. I installed it on my desktop PC running XP with no problem whatsoever. Since I travel a lot, I tried to install it on my laptop which is running Windows 7. I cannot get beyond the first screen. Nothing happens, no warnings or alerts. On advice, I have tried to install in compatability mode and 'run as administrator'. No joy.I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this problem. I have the PMDG MD11 and this works perfectly and is a fine aircraft as is the 747 on XP.RegardsSam Sambrook
