  1. Yeah, the restore did not work. I thought about the registry, but I have no idea where to even begin looking. Thanks.Ryan LandisUSAF Air Force Special Operations CommandMC-130P "Combat Shadow" Crew Chief
  2. Thanks for the reply Tom. I have indeed un-installed and re-installed twice so far. The first with the first fileplant download and I re-downloaded again a few hours ago the 8 gig file and tried an un-install and re-install. Still no activation screen. This really sucks. It is weird that it goes back to demo mode. I haven't made any changes to my computer in any way since I installed last friday. Last friday I received the screen and input the key just fine. I may attempt a system restore to just before I installed the sim to see if that works. Thanks anyways.Ryan LandisUSAF SSGTAir Force Special Operations CommandMC-130P "Combat Shadow" Crew Chief
  3. I cannot seem to get an answer anywhere else so I thought I would try here. I downloaded the beta and installed last Thursday (31 Aug 06). It ran fine and activated with my key just fine. I played throughout the weekend and flew a little multiplayer and free flights without a time limit. So yesterday I go to play and I get an error message stating " An error occurred while attempting to activate the product. The problem may be due to an incomplete installation of the application. Re-installing the application may resolve the problem. Otherwise, please contact product support for assistance." So I click ok and the game boots up like normal, except the Multiplayer icon is gone. So I decided to fly some missions and they worked fine until I get the " Thanks for trying Flight Sim X. Please activate your product to experience it all". But I already did activate it and all of the sudden it stopped working. If anyone else has experienced this or hasn't I would like to know. I have contacted Fileplanet and Microsoft. Microsoft said they couldn't help until the full release. Fileplanet has yet to respond, but I am not getting my hopes up that they can even help. I was really looking forward to playing this as I am going to be in Iraq when the full release comes out and I haven't got a decent enough laptop to run it anyways..lol. So please if anyone has any input or solutions I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.Ryan LandisUSAF SSGTAir Force Special Operations CommandMC-130P "Combat Shadow" Crew Chief

  5. No pun intended on the subject. Ahem...I seem to be having a problem getting to cruise altitude and/or staying at FL550. I like to start in a cold and dark cockpit, with avionics set on already. I start her up, get her in the air and the climb usually goes without a hitch with my VS and ALT AQ buttons pressed and HDG TRK. However in one flight from KLGA to EGLL I started losing speed at appx. FL 240. Maybe about a knot a second. So I checked over my autopilot and nothing looked out of the ordinary. So I disengaged autopilot and pitched to about +500 fpm and gained some speed, but after a few seconds started to lose it again. I hit the relight and gained some speed but still lost it. In another instance I made it to FL550 without any problems and continued to cruise. However I could only acheive Mach 1.4 with a 69 knot tailwind and relight on. And soon enough I began to lose speed. My fuel load seems to be ok, but in both instances I have to pitch up to maintain my altitude and before I know it I am pitched up to 60 degrees and losing altitude with afterburner and tailwind. Has anyone else had this problem. It is frustrating to get all set up, INS wayppoints loaded and at altitude when this problem occurs. Any help would be appreciated as I have grounded the fleet until I can fix this issue, among others like the nav1, nav2, adf radios going out on me. Thanks in advace.Ryan LandisUSAF Air Force Special Operations CommandMC-130P "Combat Shadow" Crew Chief
