  1. Thanks Dave for your post. That seems to work fine.Patrick
  2. I tried this and even re-installing LevelD 767. Sorry to say still no luck XGauge. However, I tried Dave's suggestion and this works, but I'm surprised more LevelD users don't have this problem. I will try asking at the LevelD forum as well. Thanks anyways.Patrick>Hi All,>>I know this may take some time:>>Uninstall X Gauge>Uninstall FS Crew>Reinstall X Gauge>See if things show up correctly. 3. I tried your suggested panel.cfg change and still no luck. And yes, XGauge does show in my other planes. Thanks again,Patrick
  4. I wanted to post my panel.cfg file. I realized I forgot to mention I also use FS2Crew for the LevelD. 5. Jim,I do have the latest updates of both ASX and LevelD. I originally inserted XGuage in slot #5. I just tried uninstalling xguage and re-installing using the "append" option. Still no luck seeing it when selecting the Xguage on the instrument panel view menu. Patrick
  6. Hi, I really enjoy ASX. I installed XGuage as guage #5 as per the defaults in my aircraft, and when I go to the "Viiews" menu on FSX, it lists XGuage, but when I select it, it momentarily appears and then disappears. I suspect it is "hidden" behind the 2-D panel of the LevelD 767 panel. How do I bring the guage to the forefront? Thanks,Patrick
  7. I did do the "right-click and run as administrator" and still no luck. I have sent you an email with my keyboard.dat file and product id as requested. Thanks for your help.Patrick
  8. Hi JD, well I tried re-installing one more time and now when entering the key, I do not get the error, but now after entering the key, the registration screen disappears and when I run RCV4.exe again (as administrator) it goes back to the registration screen. When I look at the properties for the keyboard.dat file the "read only" box is not checked...although I cannot open the file? Any other ideas? Thanks again,Patrick
  9. Hi, as mentioned in my first post, I did try running the "exe" file as administrator and still the same error?Patrick
  10. Hello, I have purchased a new computer and tried to re-install RC4. I used the automatic email for the key but when entering the key comes back with "Run time error 75 - RadarContact.rcv4module.write_keyboard" error. I am using Vista Ultimate and have tried running the "exe" file as an administrator as suggested in previous posts. Thanks.Patrick
  11. Hello, I have a Dell XPS M1710, T7600G, 2gig ram laptop with a Geforce 7950GTX card using Vista Ultimate. I was just wondering if it would be at all worth it to add another 2 gigs of ram or not for FSX? Thanks.
  12. darn...and I live in Niagara Canada...can't believe I got that one wrong! LOLPatrick
  13. Thank you...I've actually read the forums for the past 2 years...and have really enjoyed the commentary and useful tips...it's just the last few weeks where it has been difficult. I do realize that with any new release..there is this type of posts...just wanted to vent I guess...again..thanks for 'listening'....and as to the trivia...are you just south of niagara?
  14. Hi, I first want to say a big THANK YOU to the owners and moderators of this Avsim!!!! You are all doing a great job!Now on to the point...I am tired of entering the forum and having to scroll way past so that I can skip the flaming categories. I am not trying to offend anyone in that everyone has a right to state their opinion...but I think the bandwidth and with the slower speed of the forum (I realize due to the # of users)....time would be much better spent talking about what the average user can do to improve performance and not what is wrong (if anthing) with the design and programming of FSX. BTW...THANK YOU ACES FOR YOUR WORK.....I think everyone here will at least agree as to the future potential of FSX!I am a Canadian...so obviously I must apologize for this post...lol...and this is my third (or close to that) post on this forum. I think for the most part....this a terrific place...but in the last two weeks since FSX has been released....it honestly takes a lot of effort to weed the "ranting and raving" from the truly helpful topics. What is funny is that by me saying all this I might get the flaming responses...and I may deserve it...but I definitely not trying to provoke it...I rarely post...but I just had to speak my mind.Thank you for reading...hope I didn't bore you too much.Patrick
  15. Hello, I want to update my bios and chipset drivers and have never done that before. I have them downloaded, but how would I go about updating them...is it fairly complicated? I would appreciate any help and steps required. Thank you.My system is AMDAthlon 64 4200+, BFG Geforce 7900GT, 1 gig kingston ddr400 ram, GA-K8N SLI mobo, nForce4 SLI chipset.Patrick
  16. Hi, I have 2 questions for all of you:1. I am updating my graphics card from a Geforce 6600 to a BFG 7900GT PCIE...besides updating drivers, is there any other things I must do for FS9 to ensure the new card is recognized and works properly?2. I was told I should update my bios and chipset drivers. I have never done this before. Is there a way to explain how to do this after downloading the new drivers? I am fairly good with computers but have never gone that before. I have a Athlon AMD64 4200+ with 1 gig Kingston ram, Geforce 6600 card, with a Nforce4 GA-K8N-SLI motherboard. Thanks for all your help.Patrick
  17. Hi all...I have another one of those graphics cards questions. I have an AMD 4200+ system with 1 gig kingston ram with a Geforce 6600 card. I want to upgradea my card and am torn between either getting the BFG 6600GT OC or spending another $240 for the BFG 6800GT OC. I am told the plain 6600 card is a real bottleneck for my system. I would really appreciate some advice and opinions on this forum. Your help is greatly appreciated!Patrick
  18. Hi there...just wanted to say from a real world private pilot and I bought the LD 767 just a few days ago because I read that fs2crew was almost released. I am amazed at the realism of your product...no disappointments in either the plane or fs2crew!!!GREAT JOB!Patrick
  19. Hello, I didn't realize the update has been released. Is the download link email to users? I did not receive an email yet. Thanks for the great product!Patrick
  20. Hi, I've used ActiveSky products for 2 year now...and just had to drop a line and say thank you for such a great product!!! The free updates and support are unparalleled. I just flew KSFO to KLAX and the sunset was incredible....I only wish I knew how to take screenshots to show you. I have my private pilot's license, and this product really helps for the "immersion factor"!Patrick
  21. >1). Sorry, have to ask. You're sure you're at 28L, correct?,>not 28R?>2). KSFO addon scenery?>3). Rebuilt RC's db?Yes, double checked 28L, only UT US scenery addon, yes I rebuild RC database after installation and key code.
  22. Hi there, I am now using RC4 and love it. I seem to be having a problem with taking off from KSFO. I have loaded a flight plan KSFO-KLAX using PMDG 737-700. I am told to taxi to 28L KSFO but after 3 tries, I never get told to monitor or contact tower. I just seem to hold at 28L on ground control forever and am stuck there. Please help.Thank you for your help and this great product and FYI the voices are good.Patrick
