Martin - you got "fscontrails" installed?I had similar flickering and it turned out that fscontrails was the culprit...just my two cents...alex

Agree with Phantoms.You guys are doing a great job but I think much of the emails and questions is due to keep saying the library will be back "in a few days" and then it isn't.It's like Boeing and the Dreamliner first flight all over again :(

Many years ago, pretty much the first add-on I bought was the full set of UK VFR scenery.Since then I've got loads more sceneries and add-ons.Was flying over the UK the other day and noticed the VFR scenery isn't showing anymore. It's still installed and active in the scenery library.. but the UK ground seems to be back to the default.Any suggestions on a likely culprit or easy fix? I don't fancy a fresh reinstall.The last add-ons I've got are Aerosofts Heathrow X, AES and Ground Environment Pro.

Hi Tom.I worship this place and you guys do a great job!.. but I think you might be wrong here.The IE timeout (and it was a Firefox timeout too) was only on AVSim Library. It was definately a problem with the library server (imho)

Just to add my twopenneth. Same as above..Been very hit & miss for a couple of days. Seems to be getting worse with time. Same issues Firefox or IE. It's not a browser issue.

Just reading in Airports mag about the massive new T1 at LEBLSo that will need a good new scenery soon :)

Actually, I wish someone would release a major African airport such as Jo'Burg or maybe Cape Town or Cairo. There's a complete dearth of quality addons for Africa which is a shame. But I appreciate sales are a major factor and it's unlikely the effort involved would result in a reasonable profit.But I live in hope. :(

Whats the current best scenery for LCY?I have the old UK2000 "London Airports" that has a half-decent LCY but it's getting a bit dated now.I've seen the Visualflight London scenery includes an LCY airport. Is that better or worse than the UK2000?Are there any other alternatives??:)

Nope.. it's FS2004.Checked and double checked. No duplicate AFCADs.I think the people who haven't got this, aren't really grasping what happens.It's not that you're in one place and the aircraft are half in the terminal.. and in another they're not. The aircraft physically move into/out of the buildings.If you're some distance away.. the a/c are not there at all. Then as you get closer to the terminal, the end of the tail appears and then as you get closer, the a/c slowly backs out of the building. Extremely wierd.As someone said above, on a top-down view.. the a/c are always correctly placed. Only from ground level do you get the wierdness.Never seen it before. Bizarre.

Doesn't affect any other scenery, just this.Checked the AFCAD. Seems OK.I think you must be right.. theres something fundameentally wrong with the scenery. It is a bit ancient. I got it ages and ages ago and never really flew into PHNL so didn't take much notice.So is the freeware PHNL (Bill Melichar?) much better then? I'll have to check it out.

Can anyone shed any light on whats going wrong here.The aircraft at the gates are half way in the terminal.. unless you get closer to the terminal and then they slowly come out, so when you're at the terminal.. they're parked correctly.I know if the AFCAD is set wrongly, sometimes aircraft appear half in the buildings. But I've never seen a situation where the a/c and building seem to move in/out of each other depending on how far away you are.I've tried to illustrate with pics.Any idea on why this is??

I subscribe to PCPilot.It's not brilliant.. and the coverdiscs are rubbish, but its something to read and the only real FS mag in the UK.Agree with the comments about the reviews though. They only seem to do 2 scores. If they like it lots - 95%If they like it no so lots - 75%They should review freeware.. if only in a brief section. They'd get loads more content and the mag would be much more useful.

HiI'm getting this problem too.I can download 3 files.. (seperately - one at a time).. and then it won't let me download again for a period of 5-10 mins.On IE7 it just flicks to a page not found error. In Firefox you get the "530 You may only perform three concurrent downloads at a time" message.It's like it's not recognising that you've finished downloading a file.. so after the 3rd file it just 'clogs up'

I'm noticing on my various installed airports, if I'm taxying with the external spot view, the ground at the bottom of the screen is constantly flickering.. like the default ground keeps flashing through the installed airport ground.Tried a few. Freeware, Simflyers, Aerosoft. All seem to do it the same.Apart from a few add-on airports I have FS Global 2005 installed.Any ideas on whats causing this??

I have Traffic2004/2005/XOver time I've replaced all the models with the freeware AIA/EAI/TFS ones as, as mentioned above, the models you get in the payware packages are really quite awful compared to the feeebie ones.However I love the traffic editor that is built into Traffic. Easiest way to add and edit your own traffic.

It's not just you. I can't seem to download anything at the moment.Example - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?FileName=ai30bbcs.zipJust times out at the connecting to FTP screen.The library was working fine for me yesterday, but seems to be broken now.
