  1. Hello guys,
How is the correct procedure to save a flight with the 777 of PMDG when we are already flying ?
Because i paused the simulator, i saved the panel state then i saved the flight.
But when i load the flight again after opening FSX again, the 18 seconds delay to initiate the panel state make me loose thousands of feets.
    Not very professionnal !!
    How do you do ?
    Thanks

  2. Hello,
    Here is my problem.
    I'm on FSX only
    I'm making a Go-around at minimum altitude.
Before going around the 777 is in AP OFF and AT ON, altitude on MCP is 4000' (Missed Approach Altitude)

I press TOGA , Flaps 20, Positive Climb GEAR UP, Following the FD climbing to 4000'
    Above 2000' i engage AP.
For the moment all is correct. My speed is around 165 kts

But as soon as the ALT Mode engage itself to capture de 4000' levelling (just above 3000'), the speed in the MCP comes every time at 220 knots and the A/T apply full thrust itself
In the real aircraft, the speed stay at the actual speed.
Unfortunately, the consequence is an overshoot in the altitude constraint too.

Please is this speed bug a known bug ?

    Thanks, best regards

  3. Hi guys,

I flown the 737 NGX PMDG for several years.
I  load it on FSX from a personnal panel state "short term state" for several years and no problems occurs.

Since today i update my 737 NGX PMDG with the last version.
I use this panelstate as usual, but the words "fuel" and "antiice" are still illuminated when i'm ready to taxi and i don't understand why they stay in these state.

i only fill the fual at 30 % so all pumps are on except centers (no fuel in center tanks)
And accordind to "anti-ice", the conditions to engage it are not meet.

    Any help appreciated...

Looking at the updater log in your last post, it appears to be saying that your current version is too old to be updated with the micro updater, so yes, you would need to download the full version from your PMDG account.

First uninstall your current version from the Windows control panel, install the full version from PMDG, and then you will be able to use the micro updater to bring it up to the very latest version.

Ok, thanks, but i have one other question : will that this kill me all my personnal files (panel states, preferences in the settings of the fmc menu etccc ... ?

  6. Hello guys,
My PMDG Operation Center download the update, seems to update the software but i'm always with the previous version in the FSX simulator.
And when i re open the PMDG Op Center, it tells me one more time that there are updates available for the 737.
Is it possible to re install the update version over the previous one from my PMDG account by downloading the whole zip file of the whole installer instead of updating it from the Operation Center ?
    Thanks
    Gilles Menghetti

  7. No error messages, only  (FSX is not responding) in the title bar of the simulator window.

Suddenly, the simulator freeze and if i click on the windows, the screen becomes more white, as a haze was present and the simulator shut down.

I suspect VAS memory issue because it's the most common problem encountered by people but if you have any other idea ...

  8. Hello,

Every time i fly with the PMDG 777-200LR, FSX shut down after about 1h 1/2 of flight, sometimes before, sometimes after and that wherever i am in the world.

I take a screen when it appears with the Process Explorer software running

You can see that it's only 2.176.000 Virtual Size used, far of the 3.000.000 of the OOM bug.

    Any ideas ??

    Thanks

  9. This evening, i tried the "button and key default" tip.
I was able to make a flight of 2h 45 mns without freezes.

I work tomorrow but i will test later on a more long flight and will post here the results.

    Hoping !  ;)

    Gilles.

  10. OK, i will try this info, but i do not think i will solve my problem because all these freezes do not appear with the 737 NGX even with my yesterday flight (EHAM-GCLP --> 4h 32 mns of flight) !
But it cost none to try, so i will tell u news soon!  ;)
    Thanks Rob.  ;)

  11. Hi,

After plenty of flight with 100 % reliability, i would like to begin with failures in flight, randomize or not.

But i don't know how to proceed, what to do and where to read the procedures to manage correctly a failure (for example, an engine fire on the climb phase).
Do u have any tutorial, videos, links or pdf that just explain the procedure ?

    Thanks a lot.

    Gilles Menghetti.

  12. Ok, as i said earlier, i come back to give u news about my new flight and freezes.

Today, i made a flight from EKCH to BGSF with the 777.

It was a 4 hrs 27 mins flight
With "Run as admin" procedure, i encountered 4 non-fatal freezes :

    - 1st freeze : after 1 h 36 mns of flight / the flight resumes after 8 minutes waiting

    - 2nd freeze : after 3 h 23 mns of flight / the flight resumes after 9 minutes waiting

    - 3rd freeze : after 3 h 45 mns of flight / the flight resumes after 8 minutes waiting

    - 4th freeze : after 3 h 48 mns of flight (only 3 minutes later previous one) / the flight resumes after 8 mns waiting

All freezes had the blue circle of death with the "no response" windows label but with no use of mouse, all freezes ended by resuming the flight

While freezing, i could notice that even aircraft maintain its position, fuel is consuming.

So i could finish the flight but these freezes are very annoying !!!

Is PMDG working on this bug for the next revision ?

    Thanks.

    Gilles Menghetti

  13. @Fabo : thanks Fabo for infos ; i will try that if i will have another freeze.

This evening, i delete the logbook.bin file and run FSX in administrator mode.

I have flown the T7 for more than 1 hour 1/2 without any freeze.

It's too late so going to bed, but will do a more longer flight this week-end and will tell u about.

    Thanks.

    Gilles.
