  1. Hi allCan anyone explain why I can't reach the VPA wesite, when I know others can?Everything was fine until last weekend, but not when I tried again last Thursday or at eny time since. I know someone that uses the same service provider as me who can get there and I can access just about any other website, although I also can't get to the site of VPA's web hosting service. Before people start saying to check my firewalls, reset my browser, flush my DNS etc, I have donec this and tried using two completely different PCs - my desktop (runnning XP Home, IE8, AVG (payware)) with a wireless connection, and a laptop (runnning Windows 7, IE9, NOD32) with a wired connection to the modem/router - both have the same problem. I have checked the modem/router security and website blocking is switched off.The Modem has a DNS lookup utility which returns "Unknown host" when I search for www.virtualpilots.org. I found the IP address on a lookup website, but get no packets returned when I ping it. I get a text only version of the homepage if I enter the IP directly in my browser (the other person using the same ISP goes straight to the normal homepage).I spent an hour on the phone to my ISP (Sky, in the UK), without success.I'm getting desperate for a solution now - does anyone have any ideas? Is anyone else in the same position as me?ThanksDave
  2. Not sure what the outcome of this was, but I've got the same problem. I've re-installed the base package, "001" fix and the FS2004 update (in that order) and it's stil the same.As you can see from the attachment, the lights shine from right to left, about 100 yards in front of the aircraft.Any help much appreciated.ThanksDave
  3. Hi Norman, many thanks indeed for the quick response.I guess I've just got used to using the "B" key to find the correct barometer setting below transition (which often changes before you get handed off to the next controller), and this is the first a/c I've come across where it doesn't work (it does on the PSS Dash 8, for example). I should say, though, that it doesn't detract from the product overall, which for me strikes the perfect balance in terms of providing what feels like a good degree of realism, without going over the top. And I'm even happier now I know I'm not missing something regarding the barometer point.CheersDave
  4. Hi - Having just bought the Airbus Pro Series, I wanted to confirm that there is no way of adjusting the barometer automatically in the 319/320/321. Nothing is mentioned in the manuals and the usual "B" key simply toggles between the STD and adjustable QNH, in the same way as the pull button on the EFIS control panel. When I hunted around the web, I did find a post on another forum that seemed to confirm this, but the thread was quite old. It's quite annoying to get moaned at by ATC that you are x00 feet above/below your cleared altitude, simply because you didn't know the pressure had changed since you first contacted them. Perhaps it's more true to life, but can it really be that real-world pilots don't have something a little more sophisticated? Surely I'm missing something.I enjoyed my first flight yesterday nonetheless.ThanksDave
