  1. Oh, haha. The instructor was kidding when he said no photographs were allowed and that it was 'a TSA area'. I didn't notice any security there. -Mike
  2. Hey everyone. While I was in Dallas on Spring Break a friend of a friend who happens to be a First-Officer for American Airlines on the 757/767 gave me a tour of the American Airlines Flight Academy, including the simulators! I wasn't able to fly the sim due to AA policies, but I was able to peek in and play around a little. I got video and photos of the tour:My youtube channelMy flickr photostreamEnjoy! -Mike
  3. Badderjet,Queen City airport is uncontrolled, so we (the pilots) announce our movements and intentions on a UNICOM frequency, just like you might while flying on VATSIM. However, the airport is in Class Charlie airspace with a larger international airport only about 5 miles away. Therefore, Queen City and the larger Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE/KABE) share a clearance delivery privilege. Since I was flying IFR that day, I started the engine, did the run-up, and then called clearance delivery. At that point, the controller may instruct me to 'hold for release' because the departure from Queen City runs over one of the ILS' at (ABE). If I were at any other controlled airport, I would start up and then get the clearance before I taxi.-Mike
  4. Check out my photostream! I always try to take a few photos during every flight, every week. Please leave comments too (must have a yahoo account I believe to comment). My flickr photostream-Mike
  5. I'm thinking about buying the CS 757, however I want to know the capabilities of the autopilot (so far): i.e. what are the capabilities of the autopilot during a bad-weather landing? etc etc etc Plus, what can the autopilot do for climbout, cruise, descent, etc? And what about the FMC capabilities? And lastly, would any of the current owners recommend it? (I know there is a Block F which will give a fully functional FMC)Thanks,Mike
