You know in the Info Center you can actually print out the FO flows.

Captain / PF flows in an Airbus are actually pretty short and simple... you can easily memorize them in a couple sittings.

There's no soft mute.  Linking joystick buttons is problematic at the moment.  However, in the next update we'll add a Hard Mute on/off button.

But we really think PTT is the best way to go.  One key for talking to ATC one key for talking to your trusty co-pilot.

Open mics are a bit of a pain because they can wind up detecting your breath or any ambient noise...

In the "old" FSX/P3D days, I had excellent FS2Crew experiences by assigning the ATC PTT key to FS2Crew's Softe Mute key. So basically FS2Crew kept listening all the time, but was bypassed whenever I was talking to ATC. That's why I think it would be great to have a customizable Soft Mute again.

On a side note, I've been "complaining" quite a bit now... However, after having completed 2 flights now, I must say that the new FS2Crew is nothing short of a master piece - once again. And I am soooooo looking forward to the day when I can fly PMDG's 737 NG3 with your add-on. Thanks a lot for keeping up your support for us flyers!

From the Aerosoft version, probably hardly anything will transfer.
If you want something on paper, closest manual would be the FS Labs Airbus version (since it also uses stock Airbus procedures).

But the new "Assist Panel" essentially functions as a Cheat Sheet.

It tells you on the screen basically what to do and what to say.

You really shouldn't need a separate cheat sheet anymore with this FS2Crew.

The whole point of our new system was to remove the need for any kind of external manual.

I guess I will get used to it, yes. I'm just missing the ability to "look ahead" or even "look back" which I could easily do in my paper flows and checklists. Once you trigger the next F/O flow, the panel is refreshed and the current PF flow is gone.

By the way: Is there no "Soft Mute" key like there was in the "old" Fs2Crews? Bit of a must-have when flying with online ATC.

If memory serves correct, I didn't use stock Airbus procedures for the Aerosoft Airbus version of FS2Crew.

However, for FBW, I did use stock Airbus procedures, so procedurally it's basically extremely similar to the FS Labs version of FS2Crew since I followed stock Airbus for that.

Captain / PF flows are listed in the ASSIST panel.  Some of the FO actions are triggered based on you running your flow and moving the expected switch, so you need to follow them.

For example, the FO's after landing flow is triggered by you disarming the ground spoiler after landing.  That's the same as in the real world per Airbus SOPs.

The FO flows are viewable in the new Info Center should you want to see what he's doing.

When the FO is performing a flow, it will say the name of the flow on the panel.  For example: "Action: After Landing Flow".

Thanks a lot, Bryan. I'll see to what extent I can reuse my "cheat sheet" from the Aerosoft version.

There's an option on the CFG panel to disable tool tips.

Assist screen is there for training.  Once you have the system figured out, you can "hide" the assist panel.

    Cheers,

Can I just use the same flows and voice commands like in FS2Crew for the Aerosoft Airbus in P3D? I really want to know what's going on rather than speak a command once the panels tell me to...

Yeah sorry, I really don't like panels and tool tips all over the screen.  Doesn't sound good to me at all.  Even requiring a panel to be open for voice control as with Pushback Express really bugs me.

Same for me. I'd say tooltips and assist screens decrease the level of immersion. I don't say they are bad things, many will like the new system, but it would have been great to have a choice...

I'm afraid this does not exist in Windows 10. My screenshot shows the equivalent.

Oh dear! Found it now. I wasn't aware that the well hidden old Windows Control Panel actually overrides the settings you set in Windows 10 Settings. Now it shows English UK in the location of your screenshot. Will try if it works later today.
    Thanks a lot!

  7. Hi Bryan,

According to the Voice Control Manual, the Pilot language in Pushback Express needs to match the speech recognition language selected in Windows. I have Windows 10 and set the speech recognition language to English UK. So I selected UK for the pilot language, but Pushback Express does not work and throws the language mismatch error. Could it be that the program is actually looking for the Windows display language rather than the speech recognition language? Because even with Windows speech recognition set to English UK, I can use German voice commands in Pushback express when I set the pilot language to German. However, I really want to speak English in the Sim. At the same time, I don't want my entire OS to be English. It worked like a charm in all FS2Crew products for FSX/P3D including UGCX.

    Here's my WIN 10 setup:

    Hi Stefan,

That's because it assumes you're flying a CAT 1 ILS... which uses Decision Altitude (Baro).

If you want to use RADIO (Decision Height), select "AUTOLAND" for the approach type in the briefing page.

Thanks a lot Bryan, will try that.

  9. Hi Bryan,

I was wondering if the following behaviour is intended: During his descent flow, the F/O always switches the minimums selector from RADIO to BARO on the EFIS panel. I'm using SOP1 and prior to descent I set the selector to RADIO, enter the DH on FS2Crew's APP page, but once I call "Let's start setting up for the descent", the F/O switches back to BARO.

I'm pretty sure this was not the case in the NGX version, and according to page 22 of the NGXu SOP1 Tutorial, the F/O should leave this switch alone, shouldn't he?

No big deal at all, I just wanted to check if that's on purpose or if I missed something.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Stefan

    Send me a support ticket.

I'm going to make a change to FS2Crew.

What I did was I blocked out the response as you described to eliminate the possibility of hearing to two responses if the same phrase was spoken to the ground crew.

But I'll just change that back.

You are a star, Bryan! I‘ll send you a ticket once I’m back at my PC. Thanks a million.

    Hey Kimp1lot,

    Yes, we can do that.

Actually there is an option for totally disable captain's voice, which does kinda what you request, but only for all captain's voice screen message. we can add one for the other messages

I would also love to have the green bar disabled completely. What is particularly annoying is that I always get the green bar when I hold down the soft mute key (which I use as my Push-to-talk key for online ATC). So even in mid-flight, where UGCX is not active anyway, I always see "UGCX - Soft Mute active" whenever I talk to ATC.

Would be great  to have this removed.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Stefan

What's do you see on the Ground Connections page?   What does it say?

This would have nothing to do with UGCX.

    Hi Bryan,

    Happy New Year!

I have all options available in the GND page, and the system understands me correctly ("cockpit to ground" displayed in the green bar). And yet, I don't get any response from the ground crew...

  13. Hi Bryan,

I have the same problem, and it started once I had installed UGCX (great stuff btw.!). When I arrive at the gate at my destination, I cannot contact the ground crew any longer in order to have the GPU connected. (I know I can setup FS2Crew to auto-connect the GPU at the gate, but shouldn't it still be possible to "manually" do it with voice-control?) I somehow thought this might be due to an interference between FS2Crew and UGCX? And yes, FLT is enabled on the Captain's comm panel.

    Best regards,

    Stefan

  14. As far as I'm concerend, the keypress should operate just like the soft-mute button.

While keeping it pressed, FS2Crew Checklist/FO/Briefing halts until key is released.

Through FSUIPC the keypress can be connected to a (yoke) button.

But then you would need to release the Pause button in order to press your PTT button for your readback, so the FO would continue his speech while you're talking to ATC.
