  1. Correction it ONLY takes the weight of the aircraft into consideration and whether or not icing is present, which is more than adequete for 9/10 flights.
  2. No problem.. Glad I could help! When using FS2Crew heres what should work...when you have loaded up the dash, with the correct fuel and payload, first press CTRL+SHIFT+F1 which is the FSX default for fuel cut-off ... This is because if you load up a cockpit state with the engines not running for some reason FSX, P3D still thinks the engines are running... This is the problem I ran into with random after landing flow messages...vspeeds I assume picks up on the state of the aircraft... With the engines off on the ground you should get the takeoff speeds... In the air engines running landing speeds.... And on the ground with the engines running the landing flow... So you can see how it runs into issues when it thinks the engines are running within FSX even when they are not ... But yes the after landing flow is part of vspeeds, it will perform the following actions.. bus tie to TIE, raise the flaps, set the anticollision to RED, move the spoilers to TAXI, turn off all the Anti ice pitot static heaters. The author said it was designed to help people who are flying alone with the dash 8. The reason I would not try to use the landing flow is because it's already built into FS2Crew and when you call for the after landing checklist the first officer will do most of these items anyway. I call up the speeds before I open the FS2Crew panel ensuring I've done what I've said above, and call on it again just before top of descent for landing speeds and it works perfectly. And if worst comes to worst use the aurasim app which is much more realistic in terms of entry . Hope this helps! Miles
  3. The message is from Vspeeds..Its a fanstastic little program that calculates V Speeds for takeoff and landing based on weight and icing without having to look up figures It a lua. module file that can be brought up in the sim by assigning a key in FSUIPC..you It also performs an after landing flow. For me Vspeeds and FS2Crew work fine together so long as you populate your speeds before you use FS2Crew and dont use the after landing flow.
  4. As it stands you call "FLAPS 0, I A S TWO HUNDRED, CLIMB CHECKLIST TO THE LINE" or 160 or 240...... quite a mouthful, especially when on VATSIM and you have ATC barking at you to contact departure....Most of the carriers I see simply call flaps up and the FO does the same flow regarding props, bleeds, flaps and speed...The two most popular procedures on the Q400 as of late seem to be (Flaps up, Props 900, speed 210)...or (Flaps up Props 850, CL soft button, speed 210)... Maybe something for the future we could select which type of climb we require in the BRIEFING page. But I think at the very least simplifying the flaps up call would definatley smooth things out. Im sure lots of people have no proplem saying it with practice. But its very easy to get jumbled up saying the command if alot is going on at once no matter how many times you do it.. Just a suggestion of course love the product! Miles
  5. Thanks for the reply. I just wondered if it was normal because of the elevation of some fields I get the 1000 call sometimes when im at 100-200ft off the ground or when im just about to touchdown.
  6. Ive noticed that the PNF calls out 1000 and 500 based on the reading of the altimeter and not the radio altimeter. The result is, if I fly into an airfield which in my case yesterday is at 700ft ASL with the correct QNH setting my 1000ft call is actually at 300ft. Is this normal? Thanks Miles
  7. How would I go about that?
  8. I see! Ill keep that in mind. How about the nosewheel steering? Any way to "calm it down"? turning 90degrees at 10knots tapping the rudder key once is a bit over the top! :(
  9. No problem! thanks for the speedy reply though! :(
  10. As ive said above im aware of the bank angle selection. This only applies for HDG mode it does not apply for LNAV.
  11. Hi guys! Just a quick question regarding the PMDG 737. Now being someone who has travelled on 737's quite a bit ive noticed someting on the 737 id like to change. My 737 in cruise (and at any stage of flight) in LNAV commands turns of up to 30degrees bank, even on some turns that arent that sharp. Wilco airbus series has programmed their airbus to reduce bank to max 15degrees above a certain speed which is very realistic and makes for a very smooth trip! Im fully aware of the bank limiter on the heading knob but this only affects turns in HDG mode. Also turns are quite "twitchy" if anyone knows what I mean. Very stiff. turns arent smooth and the airlerons appear to bounce around quite a bit. Also my nosewheel steering seems to be oversensative. i can make a 90 degree turn on the tarmac on a taxiway by tapping the left rudder key once :( . Love this aircraft to bits but these niggles make me reluctant to fly what is essentially a perfect 737 minus these issues. My questions are: Is there a way to reduce the bank angle? Tried the aircraft.cfg changing it to 25,20 etc... but as far as I know this bird ignores those entrys. Am I running something thats making these turns twitchy? Is there a way to reduce steering sensitivity? Thanks for any help providedMiles Codrington

  13. Thats brilliant! Interesting! I did wonder why we came into the UK on such a northerly route, was looking out the window and we came in nearly directly over harwich town! Flightplan confirms this! maybe even the outbound on the the same round trip if going that far back is trouble? Thanks for your help though, really appreciate it!
