  1. BigMacblue's post in Pro Flight Emulator help - sorry was marked as the answer   
    Think it was to do with the choice of using both an "old" pilot voice on one setting, and a "new" pilot voice for the other setting on the options 1 page, once I'd selected "new" for both, the problem has gone.  I'm sure it's suppossed to be possible to use both but as long as it works.
     
    Great product, the perfect answer to the dismal FSX ATC.
