  1. I'd be expecting that due to intellectual property rights it would have to be an external program, not a patch since Dovetail / LM / Microsoft or whoever would have to provide access to the source code. How did Peter Dowson get FSUIPC to delve so deeply into the program though? I don't have the answers to these questions, I'm a Master Mariner with a curious wondering of how difficult, given the fantastic addons that we already have, such a program would be to write? I just don't believe that it's impossible.
  2. This may seem like a stupid question but then again, I'm always told that there are no such things as stupid questions, only stupid answers. Anyway, this question is directed at those learned software engineers out there - is it possible to write a "plugin" that can encourage a "programme" to release VAS? We have so many fantastic "add ons" that run fluently alongside or inject into the sim and manage themselves into making the sim behave in a way that we dictate EZDok, GSX, ASN and of course FSUIPC amongst others, all of which were never part of the original ACES code. Why do we not have one for this issue yet? Is it impossible? I hope that in the very near future someone creates a solution of this nature since it appears that the more permanent solution of a 64bit version, X Plane aside, is in a galaxy far far away. Looking forward to the replies.
  3. Was there ever a solution to this gents? I'm getting the same problem now. Rgds
  4. Think it was to do with the choice of using both an "old" pilot voice on one setting, and a "new" pilot voice for the other setting on the options 1 page, once I'd selected "new" for both, the problem has gone. I'm sure it's suppossed to be possible to use both but as long as it works. Great product, the perfect answer to the dismal FSX ATC.
  5. Could you add Pro Flight Emulator please? Rgds
  6. Hi Oliver, yip, updated and running 2.14.0 Rgds
  7. Hello everyone, sorry if this has already been answered, discussed or solved elsewhere but I'm in need of assistance with PFE. I had it working like a dream and followed all the installation/setup instructions from the manual but something crashed while I was looking at the manual and now it's all gone pear shaped. I was following my taxi route to Rwy27l @ EGLL when the TGS audio assistance got lost and I was looking in the manual for the hotkey Ctrl+Shift+W to skip to next taxiway when FSX crashed. When I'd loaded and setup a flight at my gate of choice, I'd "Connect to FS" and the FSUIPC Display window would show up with a brief message about Transition Altitudes 6000/6000 and I knew that all was good, I'd tune to the ATIS, listen to the message then press 0 and the FSUIPC window would kindly remind me to retune to the clearance frequency - a very handy tool indeed - and then contact clearance. Pressing 0 again, whilst using VC Co-Pilot Mode 2 then retuned the radio and the FO would contact clearance for me and all would be good, I'd also see other AI traffic contact Ground/Tower etc with their conversations in the window mode and all was running sweet. However, after the crash, there's no window, no FO, nothing by pressing 0, \, R, no ATIS when tuning to 128.075 and my FSUIPC settings are as required. I uninstalled everything, ran CCleaner, rebooted, reinstalled, setup my options, compiled FltPlns & ADV files ok, "Connect to FS" and - nothing!! Does anyone have a starting point on this? Stuart
