  1. A year from the last post, and the link in the manual still doesn't work, neither does the Crunchie livery seem to be available. I bought the aircraft this week and am quite enjoying it, though I do have a couple of queries: (i) The rear cockpit only has very limited instrumentation - no artificial horizon, turn and slip indicator, VSI or clock. Is this really correct? I'd have thought that whether this panel was for the instructor or the pupil a fuller panel would be fitted, and that in modern rebuilds there would certainly be more. (ii) The notes say that the engine should be stopped using the idle cut off switch leaving the fuel valve on, but there is no idle cut off switch, only the fuel valve, magnetos and mixture controls. Overall I'd agree with the views expressed above, and I'm glad I bought it as part of a Just Flight offer rather than paying full price.
  2. We are quick enough to complain about bad service from manufacturers, so I'd like to give a public thank you to Abacus for the excellent support I received yesterday. It dawned on me that the A4 Skyhawk in my install of their Vietnam Carrier Ops was missing its HUD. A look at the panel.cfg showed it was looking for a gauge which I didn't have. Without great optimism I contacted their customer support, and in less than an hour I had received an email with the missing file attached. That, I think, deserves publicising.
