Hi Ed and Fr. Bill, Not a problem, I take all of that on board. I have gone back to my original panel.cfg and removed the other GPS entries then added the code as per the guide on your website. I'll give that a go and keep working until I've exhausted every avenue. I certainly don't want to take up a lot of time due to my own mistakes, however I would like to offer my thanks for your advice thus far, it is very much appreciated indeed. Andy

Hi Ed, I am going to go over my panel.cfg also; there's a good chance that I missed something the first time through. However if you can offer any advice also I'd be very appreciative. I will add the full panel.cfg below so nothing is missed. Regarding the colour issues, that is completely understood. I will look to see what else could be interfering with it. I am running REX, Activesky and ORBX. Beyond that there is nothing else running in the sim; it could be a graphics driver issue maybe (nVidia). Yet another intractable PC issue...I work in IT support so I know what these gremlins can be like I could never be a coder though, I'm still trying to get my head around Spectrum Basic As far as the default GPS entry there may well be. Good evening all, I am experiencing an issue with the GNS 530 installed into the A2A Cessna 172 Trainer. The unit appears to suffer from random freezing in so far as the display will not update. Clocking between frequencies updates the radios but the page the unit displays remains fixed and cannot be cleared, even by cycling the unit's power on and off. This issue is repeatable but is unfortunately random; there are no aparrent circumstances that lead to the failure. One moment it can be working and the next it can be failed. The frozen screen carries between both VC and 2D panels. Steps taken so far (Ed I appreciate that this is the Mindstar forum, however I add my panel.cfg entries for the sake of completeness). 1. Followed the file copy advice from the following post: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=44777 A further issue I have noted is that the colour representation in the VC is not as good as the 2D popup. On the startup/self test page there is a globe; on the 2D panel this is yellow whereas on the 3D panel it is white. The black outline of the plane during the self test is present in 2D but not in VC. I've checked my Event Log but since the simulator itself (Prepar3d 2.5) is running without issue there is nothing in the logs relating to the freeze. The unit is using stock navigation data; I have not purchased an update subscription as yet until I have tested the unit. ORBX Southampton (EGHI), Orbx FTX Global and Activesky Next build 5526 are in use. Please can you advise as to how to proceed? If there is any further information I can provide please let me know.
