  1. Am I the only one that has this much trouble installing these liveries? Every time I have installed them, I install them using the manager, but then they don't show up, so I have to manually go into the .cfg and edit them, install one, copy and paste the data into a notepad, install the other one (which then erases the other one), then go back in and manually put the info in.Just wondering if anyone else has this problem?

  2. Assuming that you are using foot pedals you may want to increase the dead zone of the toe-tip potentiometers within FSX (or via FSUIPC). You problem might be caused by random noise.
That's my problem, when mine starts acting up, I have to slam the brake pedals all the way down, and then try and come back off them evenly, seems to work.

  3. Thanks !It looks interesting.I will check it out.Fred.
Hey Fred, I have been using it since I got the NGX, and it works very well (I think anyway, not like I am a real pilot or anything). Only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have the 600 in there.

  4. I have never had a problem with not putting a number in there causing the VNAV not to calculate (I have done it on rare occasion for short runways). Sure you aren't missing something else? But if that IS the case, put 1 degree higher in there, say your temp is 12 degrees, put 13 in should be a work around?

  5. It's the derate temp for the engines for takeoff. The higher the temp you set, the higher the derate (the less thrust they will produce). If you derate to much, you may run out of runway before you reach takeoff speed.

  6. Is your yoke calibrated? I had a similar problem to this, would hit VR, and wouldn't be able to lift off until I spun a bunch more trim into it. Checked my yoke against the SYS screen, turns out when I pulled back I was only getting about half up deflection (if that makes any sense, don't know the technical terms), when I calibrated it, it worked perfect again.

  7. So just did a half hour test, it burned 82 pounds in a half hour, so 164 pounds per hour on the ground in the 700. Seems low to me, but then I am used to the 800 which seemed to burn more. Does the 800 have a different APU? Were fuel flow rates tweaked with the SP1? Just curious.

  8. Did a search but didn't come up with anything. Been running the 700 here a bunch, and it seems like the APU isn't burning any fuel. I did a 1 hour flight today, plus 20 minutes APU run time at the departure airport (left the APU on for the whole flight), and it didn't seem to burn any fuel, in fact the left tank had a hair more fuel than the right tank (which I believe is where the fuel burns from, if I remember correctly). I had 0 in the center tank, so it wasn't coming from there. Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or am I losing my mind? Thanks!

  9. I noticed this as well. It seems that if you are using the *Instruments side by side* option, the ENG and SYS buttons are changed to INOP, and you cannot access the brakes page anymore. I tried switching back to the default instrument view and its accessible. I'm not sure why it is like this, I'll wait for someone to clarify.marcus jian
I remember there being a post before about it, and something along the lines of anyone using the side by side (in the realworld, believe Ryan posted it) does not have the lower display unit show any data.

  10. Sorry, just re-read the original post, yes the fmc locking up happens to me as well when I went to load the Cold & Dark panel states on my initial flights with the planes. Click the screen, 2d panel pops up, and close it and I was in business. Didn't affect the fmc for the flight. There are a couple posts on this already, I started one myself.

  11. For your second problem, you must have an erroneous waypoint in there, if you notice your total mileage for the flight is 6509 nm, which seems a little far for that flight Shocked.gif Put your system into plan mode, and step through and see if you have a waypoint that shoots off the plan somewhere.

  12. I installed the SP1 for the 800, tried loading a cold and dark panel state, and the CDU locked up with the message "LOADING SAVED PANEL STATE", so I thought, oh, must have to do like Robert said, and re-install the whole deal, so re-installed the whole deal, but never tried it again because of the 600/700 pack. So got the 600/700 pack installed, and went to fire up, went to load the cold and dark in the 600, and I got the same thing. I can work around it, will just do a shut down, takes all of 2 minutes extra, but just thought I would mention it. Should I send in a ticket for this as well?Other than it looks GREAT! Just firing up for my first flight in the 600.
