Hi,
First, Admin's please move if required. I did not find a sub forum for the maddog md80.
I recently have gotten back into Flight simming after a 3 year hiatus and I started it off by buying the Maddog MD80 for FSX(I assume it is up to date since I've only bought it last week). I absolutely love it but I'm having one problem. I went to do a flight from KSFO-KSLC and had trouble with programming the route in the FMC.
I got the following route from flightaware
KSFO SFO1 SFO SAC J32 BAM J154 BVL WAATS3
When I try to enter the route portion from "SAC - J32 - BAM" the FMC is not liking it one bit. I start off putting SAC and BAM in the corresponding RSK key(I've verified I'm choosing the correct fix when the option pops up). Then type J32 in the scratchpad and press the corresponding LSK key that currently says "direct". When I do this the FMC removes "SAC" and moves "BAM" 2 keys down with adding 2 route discontinuities.
I've verified on skyvector SAC - J32 - BAM is a valid route and have also verified that in the wpNavRTE file J32 includes both fixes SAC and BAM
Can anyone else please see if they can input this route in their Maddog FMC? I'd like to know if there is something I'm doing wrong or just a bug in the FMC.
Thanks
Side note. Since the Maddog uses the PMDG airac cycle someone with a PMDG aircraft could also chime in to see if they can input this route. I don't own a PMDG aircraft otherwise I would.
