Project Airbus Wilco merge A380-800_v1.2.1 for FSX by David Chen (Dec. 2011)Notice:1. You MUST have Wilco A380 v2 installed first or this will not work properly.2. This merge is for FSX only. FSX SP2 or Acceleration pack is recommended.3. Wilco's load manager does NOT work, but configuration tool and key config tool work pefectly.4. Read the description below to know more about fuel planning (IMPORTANT).What is included in this package?1. A380 merge (Wilco panel + Wilco VC + Project Airbus model)2. GPWS sounds update3. FSBuild performance data (for those who uses FSBuild for fuel calculation)4. Performance data for those who uses Wilco tool for fuel planning5. Some useful documents of A380 (read description below). What's new?1. Autobrake problem fixed.2. Engine data modified.Fuel planning:Some people use Wilco planning tool to calculate the fuel they need. However, the Wilco's data are not realistic since the real world A380-800s consume more fuel than Wilco's calculation. So, it is recommended to use FSBuild (payware) for fuel planning. FSBuild performance data is offered for you. If you use Wilco's tool for fuel calculation, you MUST use another aircraft.cfg (follow item "D" in the part of "Installation").Documents description:There are some docs in this package, including:1. A380_Totorial_UK: An official tutorial from Wilco's website.2. AC_A380_20101101: Aircraft data from airbus.com. From page 106 to 136, you can find some useful performance data. For example, in page 116 you can find a chart to calculate takeoff distance. In page 129 is a chart of landing distance.3. spec_imperial and spec_metric: Aircraft limitation and information about weight and balance, fuel capability, etc.Installation:A. Aircraft merge1. Copy the .fx files (in "Effects" folder) to \Flight Simulator X\Effects.2. Copy "Project Airbus Wilco merge A380-800" folder to \Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes.3. Only Airbus livery is included in the package. Download more repaints from http://www.pairbus.com/B. GPWS sounds updateCopy all files in "sounds" folder to Flight Simulator X\Wilco\A380v2\Sounds and overwrite all existing ones.C. FSBuild performance data1. Open folder "FSBuild performance data"2. Copy A380.PRF to \Program Files\FSBuild\Aircraft3. Add following text into \Program Files\FSBuild\fsb_Aircraft.cfg.[A380-800 w/ Trent 972/B] --- (David Chen) ---WeightUnit=KGSOperEmptyWeight=276940PayloadWeight=80000ReserveFuel=:45AlternateFuel=HoldFuel=93/minTaxiFuel=25/minExtraFuel=ApproachFuel=330MaxTakeoffWeight=560000MaxZeroFuelWeight=361000MaxLandingWeight=386000MaxFuelWeight=257336ImageFile=PerformanceData=A380.prf;ToldData=;DefaultTOFlaps=;climb 250/300/m85;crz LR;dsc m82/300/250D. Performance data for Wilco fuel planning tool1. Open folder "Performance data for Wilco fuel planning tool"2. Copy the aircraft.cfg to \Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Project Airbus Wilco merge A380-800/ and overwrite.Known issue:ZFWCG cannot be calculated be FMGC. Instead, it remains 25%. But this would not matter in virtual flight simulation. Why not merge with Project Airbus A380's VC?Since PA's VC version is originally for FS2004, there are some problems when it is used in FSX. For example, some textures are black and some are loaded without correct position. Even some lights are not properly operating in either virtual cockpit or 2D panel. Due to these issues, I decided not to merge PA's VC now.Special thanks to:Project Airbus Develop TeamFor any problem, please contact me via davidchen9568@gmail.comHope you have a nice flight! -
After a few hours of work, the problem was finally resolved. This problem is caused by error contact points data in aircraft.cfg. FSX considers the main wheel is NOT fully contacted with the ground so auto-breaks would not be automatically deployed.I fixed the problem by merging with project airbus A380, changing contact points data based on pa's aircraft.cfg.

I am having a big problem with wilco a380. I selected the auto brake before final approach. After touching down, auto-brakes work properly. But when the nose wheel touches the ground, auto-brakes just disarm automatically, and I can't reengage it on the ground. This is quite inconvenient for a landing. I have tried to put default auto-brake gauge of 737-800 into wilco a380, but the problem is still there. However, auto-brake works perfectly in my default 737. Anybody have any idea to solve this problem, or anyone have a utility to replace the auto-brakes? I am using FSX+Acceleration. Thanks for your help.

According to Boeing 777's manual, PSS 777 is CORRECT. HDG or TRK, it can be setted from "setup panel"(it's an airline option). Whatever TRK or HDG is selected, in APP/VOR mode, only HDG will be shown.

Thanks for sharing. This is really nice. There are new replacement textures for the PSS 777's virtual cockpit. I have tried these myself and I'm very happy with the results. More information and some important tweaks are available in this AVSIM Forum thread:http://forum.avsim.n...ew-vc-textures/Thanks to Rafal for pointing these out. -
This one is really great! The VC looks awesome with new texture! Thanks for your info.

thank you!Skip the file, then when you finish the rest of the install, run the updater found on x-plane.com. The updater should replace any missing files.G -
Hello, everybody.I am installing x-plane 9 european scenery, but my \European Scenery\All\Global Scenery\-global terrain-\Earth nav data\+50+010\+50+017.dsf.7z file is corrupt. If you have this file, please send it to me.(davidchen9568@gmail.com) Thank you very much!

I got it. Aircraft manuals are really not cheap. But I'll still buy them--because I love flying in the sky!!! Flight brings me a lot of joy.I should think it is extremely unlikely you will find a 787 manual, since the thing is probably still being finalised, and even if it were available, it wouldn't be either cheap or especially commonplace. I do have many Airbus aircraft SOP manuals, but they are specific airline ones created from the EADs ones and tailored for some airlines, which means there is some confidential material in them relating to security procedures for those airlines, post 9-11. So I wouldn't want to put something with that stuff out to some total stranger on an internet forum, but if you care to ask a specific question which isn't related to that kind of thing, I can probably look it up in the manuals and let you know what the procedure is, although such procedures are often airline-specific, so it might not be a definitive guide to flying the things. You can find manuals for sale on some internet sites, such as Essco, but they tend to be for older aircraft. Any manuals for current aircraft are of course still usable, so they are not normally that cheap and invariably still in use, hence the rarity of them. You can find Essco's site here: http://www.esscoaircraft.com/I actually bought a Boeing 727 manual off Ebay a few weeks ago, so I know that is another source which is occasionally worth checking out, however, that's more the kind of thing you are likely to find out there, since the 727 is rapidly disappearing from commercial use. In general, you will probably find that current aircraft manuals are either not cheap, or simply not available at all to anyone who shouldn't really have them.Al -
Thank you very much! There are many manuals in these website. They are really useful.
Thank you. I have received it.Airbus Manual Send via SendSpace. -
Anybody has the flight manuals/operations manuals of these aircraft:(1) Learjet 45 or Learjet 60(2) Boeing 787(3) Airbus A318/319/320/321Please send email to me :<edited by mod>Thanks very much!
