  1. Thanks guys with all of your responses.I think it is looking at an uninstall of Acceleration which has SP1 & 2 as far as I am aware. Now, here is the million dollar question.I have FSX Gold edition and I understand that there is the normal flight simluator and the Acceperation pack. In my Add/Remove programs, all I have is Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration...I would assume that by uninstalling this file, it will uninstall only the Acceleration part of flight sim x and not the Flight Sm X program itself, is this correct ?Sorry for sounding like a noob here guys but I am foreign to all of this stuff. If anyone can let me know, it will be appreciated and it would appear the last posting from Chock might be the way to go.Cheers,Chris
  2. Hi Guys,Thank you so much for your responses and I should have said also that I have Windows Vista 6 Bit.This is a thorn for me right now and and I appreciate your responses......-)Cheers,Chris
  3. Hello Fellow Flight Simmers,I am coming to you with an urgent problem that I have developed this evening at home.I had been trying for days to find a Jetstar model plane and decided inthe end to just try and work out how to do a repaint with Jetstar textures however when I went to my SimObjects/Airplae folder, the default A321 airplane folder was not there. To get this back I researched on Google and found to just put the FSX Disk 1 in and click repair which I did and this took about 10 minutes and was all finished. Now, that is when all the trouble started. When I then went and clicked on my FSX Icon, I get the blue start up Microsoft Flight Sim screen but then after about 20 seconds I get a message in a little box which says "A Fatal error has occured" - Windows will try and find a solution and notify you and well nothing happens. I turned my machine off, re-booted and the same thing. I tried system restore from 2 days ago and nothing.I am tearing my hair out here guys and girls. Does anyone know of or had this probelm and know of a fix ?..I even try and put Accelaration disk in and try and repair it but it won`t even load up and always says not responding....:-(...I tried boothing in safe mode, running disk defrag and just nothing and I checked the A321 folder in SimObjects and it has returned but since doing this the game won`t load uo....:-(I am desperate here guys, I have a 4 year old who loves watching daddy fly his planes and out tuesday night flight night was cancelled and he wouldn`t speak with me.I really don`t want to go thru a total uninstall then re-install as I have FTX, REX Overdrive,GEX and UTX Canada,Alask and Europe and I have a plethora of add-on missions and planes and Iam buggered if I want to load all those on again. If anyone can help me with a fix and it works it will be rewarded, I make that promise.Cheers,Chris
  4. Hi Everyone,I have been away for a bit from Flight Sim for nearly 2 weeks, just busy with work and stuff but what I have now done is remove any remnants of Flight Sim from my PC and I am going to try and re-install later tonight.Cheers,Chris
  5. Thank you for that Chock, I'm looking into it now.I'm in the process of updating my Realtek sound card to the latest driver and Audio Codec from the Realtek site.I have now un-installed FSX, deleted all remnants of fsx from my system and wil re-install tomorrow and see what happens. It`s just so frustrating that everything was working fine and then all of a sudden nothing. Sound is perfect in everything else as in Windows Media Player,Itunes,DIVX media player, all still have surround 7.1 sound so this is a very frustrating issue right now.Cheers,Chris
  6. Hi Guys,I am getting absolutely desperate here, does anyone have a solution for me. Short of having anyone`s baby I would be forever grateful a thousand times over as it would allow my boy to hear the instructions and continue to learn how to fly and he's only 4 and can operate a jumbo with my Logitech flight control stick like a pro...lol..Can anyone help me please ?..Just t- re state what`s going on, I have every other sound in the game, outside noise, engine noise you name it however for some reason since yesterday there has been no ATC,Instructor or Pilot voice in the cockpit and I need to get this fixed. Many Thanks,Chris
  7. Rebuildimg the fsx.cfg file ?..How do I do that...lolI have located that file and deleted it and when FSX re-startes it comes back up and I checked everything and I have all other sounds in the game and all the engine noise and outside noise but just no instructor/ATC at all and this is driving me crazy..Cheers,Chris
  8. Yes Pic007 mate, I certainly did and the most frustrating thing here is that it is probably something so simple but I have all the correct settings, even tested my sound card, ran a diagnostic system check and everything is working and running 100% correct. I definately have the Use a pilot voice is checked box done and I am just running out of ideas. I have been on a number of forums/message boards and this is just so frustrating. I am running Vista 64 Bit,12GB RAM,1.5 TB HDD and up to date sound and video card and the presentation I get from this game is out of this world but this damn voice thing is getting to me.Cheers,Chris
  9. It`s with any aircraft mate and/or any lesson I try to do or mission I am at my wits end.Cheers,Chris
  10. Hi Guys this is my first posting at theses forums and I am absolutely desperate for help....:-)For some reason all of a sudden, I have no ATC voice, instructor or Pilot voice in Flight Simulator X. This has just happened since yesterday. I have all other sounds as in outside noise and engine sounds but there is just no ATC voice or any other in-cockpit voice and I am pulling my hair out.I'm running Vista 64 Bit and have 12GB RAM and this game runs like the wind graphics wise. I have tried searching many forums for any assistance but can`t seem to get this ATC,Instructor or Pilot voice to come back up. I have been to the following help page and tried suggestions but nothing :http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177252I have also tried adjusting the sound sliders, turing the game off then on and still no avail !Can anyone help me get my ATC,Pilot and Instructor voice back please as I am desperate as I'm teaching my little boy how to fly and the in cockpit voice helps him out and he`s real upset cause daddy can`t get the game to work.HELP PLEASE I am desperate to get this sound back !Cheers,Chris..... :(
