  1. Hi- After loading several different liveries of both the -800 and -900 and configuring each aircraft's equitment to how i like it, i notice that when i reload the aircraft, the configuration settings do not get saved. I read in the intro manual that the defenition file should save all of this information such as HUGS equiped, eyebrow windows, etc. along with sim specific such as "show actual throttle in blue" are not saved upon reloading the aircraft. IS this done automatically or do i need to save somehow so the settings for each livery are always there when I start a new flight. I also was not 100% clear from the manual on exactly how the defintion file and such works. Maybe someone can better explain it for me? Thanks, and what a fantastic aircraft this is. David A.
  2. First off, what an amazing plane this turned out to be. Considering the degree of accuracy, Im very please to be getting 25+ frames, and have not noticed any of the reported problems so far- Only question I have: How can I save the aircraft equitment settings, such as HUG equiped, eyebrow windows, single/dual axis FD etc., so that they are saved for that particular aircraft each time I load it. Is it automatically saved each flight so when I reload it, the settigns should be saved? Now I have noticed you can save panel state, but this is not what I am looking for. thanks David a.
  3. So you think a brand new single video card will be better than a second 260 SLI. I figured that in my case, the GPU would be the bottleneck because of the extreme resolution I'm currently running at so it looks like I'll have to find a 460 for a good price. I also was searching through PMDG's support forum and came upon the NViDEA inspector settings for the new cards/drivers. I don't have access to that computer right now but will run it tomorrow. Do you think I will see a significant increase in FPS after I run through the settings they recommend? Thanks David A.
  4. In preperation for the much anticipated ngx, i'm considering upgrading my current system:i7-920 OC: 3.93 GHZ8gb DDR3 RamNvidia Geforce GTX 260Matrox TH2Go, 3X22" e machines @ 5040X1080EVGA X58 moboWestern Digital 7200rpm 1TB HDafter doing some research, i'm debating whether to upgrade to the i7-950 and OC to 4GHZ+ or buy a second GTX 260, SLI the two, and use their "surround gaming" software to span fsx across the three monitors, or buy a GTX 400 series video card with the matrox th2go.however, people claim that fsx is more CPU than GPU dependent, and thats where im confused with what to do. Should I purchase a second 260 and sli it, a 460 with the matrox, or just upgrade the cpu. Any tips? Also, should i expect to see decent frames from the NGX?ThanksDavid A.
  5. I appologize, this should probably be moved to the computer dedicated section, but i don't know how to move it. My appologies

  7. ok. thanks. sounds like it won't be a problem. I just figured PMDG would either share their performance figures and data with these companies so they can both be compatable.
  8. Hello-I am currently running both TOPCAT and FSbuild for fuel calculations, W/B loadsheets, and T/O and Landing reports with the MD-11 and the j41. Can we expect the developers for both pieces of software to come up with an update to support the NGX within a couple of weeks after release? ThanksDavid
  9. Thanks for the replys. It's great to be able to connect to pros like you guys, very humbling as a private pilot SEL.
  10. Hello. Starting the md11 from cold and dark, to weight initializing in the fmc, does the pilot entered tocg entered before engine start ever change? If say there was a longer than expected taxi time and more fuel is burned , will the stab/cg change on the to/apr page to reflect the burnt fuel, or only based on the pilot estimated from initialization? Thanks! David A
  11. Both would be great. In the real world, I've seen the FA's do a head count in each zone and hand a sheet to the pilots and I'm guessing there's a section for the catered stuff but that's just a guess. But no clue in PMDG's. maybe just factored into the ZFW?David A.
  12. Not sure if this is the right catagory for this post but here it goes. I am a private pilot based in the NE and have been flying PMDG's md11 and js41 for quite a while and are just incredible. I've used both a/c's supplied weight and balance software and given loadsheet and was wondering, more for the md, how variable items such as potable water and the catered food are factored into the weight and balance? are they just added as a seperate zone similar to the passengers' weights? thanks
  13. That did it! thank you. It seems I was actually missing a lot more stuff including things like wing flex. Thanks again
  14. FSX SP2/Accelerationwin 7 64 bitI've had the MD-11 for the last few months and I never got the chance to post this problem that I've been having. On the MD-11, no matter what texture I choose, the given ones or the addons I downloaded, there are no aileron or flap movenments on the wing. the rudder is animated just fine but the speedbrakes, the ailerons, nor the flaps show any movement.
