Did as you said NGX, looks like I am getting 30-40 frames now. Any other suggestions you might have? xD

1. Reinstalled FSX so It built a new config2. Well I used the ******* config checker and am getting better frames then before now.3. I have the water on Mid 2.x4. I have traffic set to none plane wise. Airport vehicles are set to medium Road is 20 percent ships are 40 and leisure boats are 405. I havent messed with inspector since the reinstall of fsx a few hours ago. I will try that now to see what I can get frame wise. I think 8Q is pretty good so I might try that.6. No I havent defragged because its a new HD. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I appreciate the tips that you gave me. I have seen an increase in frames a little but but its still in the 20 fps range. I even turned down scenery settings to Detail radius: Large Mesh complexity:97 Mesh resolution:2M Texture Resolution:15 cm Water effects: Mid 2.x Scenery complexity:Very Dense Autogen Density: Very Dense, I dont have the ground scenery shadows checked and Special effects detail: High Thanks alot ppo.

I should be able to run everything on max sliders as per the system specs I have. I see others running on max sliders with no issues at all with worse hardware then I have. So I do not want to hear that being my issue. I spent over 1800 dollars on this whole build and I expect everything to run smoothly. I did not ask you what card I should have gotten. I bought the card that I wanted which I will use for other things than FSX. If you dont have anything to say about trying to help me with the process of getting better frames then please dont post here. You arent helping with your little comments regarding my purchase.

Hello all. I recently installed a GTX 580 3GB from MSI, the lightning extreme edition. I did a system upgrade over the past 2 months and now have 16 gb's of ddr3 1600 ram, Intel i7 2600k with a asus p8z68-v-pro. I have a 60 gb sata 6 SSD running for windows and a sata 6 caviar black 64mb cache running fsx and other apps. I am getting worse frames then I was with a 9800GTX+, I was getting about 32,000 in 3dmark vantage so I dont think the graphics card is bad or anything. I had to roll back my drivers to an older version as the newest version was causing the display driver to stop working when I launched fsx as well as 3dmark. One I rolled back I was able to run 3dmark and fsx. I have rex installed and I spawned in with my 737 ngx and am only getting 20-30 frames if I am lucky in the virtual cockpit. I was getting 30 steady in the vc with the 9800GTX+. I am not sure what is going on but when I spend 600 dollars on a graphics card I would expect to increase performance and not decrease performance. I even took the external fps limiter off and now have it set to unlimited. My setings are everything on the highest it can go with tweaks here and there as well as the fsx tweak editor online. Vsync is off. CPU is overclocked to 4.6 GHZ and card is at 980 MHZ core clock 1960 shader clock and 2400 memory clock running at about 34C idle and barely pushing above mid 40's with fsx. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Raven 2 by silverstone I think it will fit. It only adveritses 10.5 in cards but the 5970 fits in there which is 11.5 just making clearance. so Hopefully it will fit haha.

Well I have the money for 3 gigs as well. I won't be using dual monitors but do you think for the 100 dollar more pricetag that double the ram is better? Even if I may not use that ram in a year or so games will increase even more. I wasl ooking for a card not just for fsx but for other high end games as well. The reason why I wont do dual is obviousley because of Fsx not being able to use dual solutions. Thanks for the input NGX, really appreciate it.

Hello all, I currently just upgraded my computer a tad bit for better overall performance. I am very happy with what I have achieved but need to upgrade my graphics card. The thing is I am unsure of what I should do. I currently just upgraded my system to:Intel core i7 2600k @ 4.8 GHZH7016 Gigs DDR3 1600 OCZAsus P8z68 Pro motherboard I currently have a 9800GTX+ and was looking into the GTX 580's. I will not buy an radeon card so please dont give any suggestions with that route. There are two 580 types I am intersted in. One being the 1.5 Gig version and one being the 3 gig version. I will not be running multiple monitors so I do understand that 3 gigs wont help me much but I was still wondering if it would help getting the 3 gig version for futureproofing for a tad bit. Any advice towards an nvidia card would be appreciated. I do not want to get a 590 nor dual cards as fsx cant utilize it. Thanks for any information.

Hello, I bought and downloaded the 737 NGX. On the first download try, I experienced a corrupt file. SO I thought to myself ok, maybe just a problem with the download, so I decided to download it again, but I get the same issue. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am trying to make a support ticket but the site isnt loading for the support tickets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
