  1. Good info too have and I will not make that mistake again...hopefully! Ted
  2. Jean-Luc, Your suggestion provided to solution, Thanks!!! I uninstalled Reshade per the instructions at Xplane Org downloads. The GTN 570 is back in the Rockwell and all is good and working, Much obliged. Ted
  3. I do have reshade installed. I will get rid of it right now and see if that helps... will advise.
  4. Hello, I have purchased the Carenado Turbo Commander and the Reality XP GTN 750 add on. I am running the latest version of XPlane 11 and my windows 10 Defender is set to allow all XPlane access. The trouble begins when I start XPlane and on the splash scree I get an error that says: Cannot Find d3d9.dll Please Re-install this application. (referring to Reality XP GTN Simulator) I have uninstalled and reinstalled both two times with no joy. I checked the Windows folders and the d3d9.dll existst and is not missing. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Ted
  5. Jim, Thanks again for your help, I've learned a lot. Will do the clean install route. This issue is closed. Ted
  6. OK, I restored the Commander. Not sure what you want me to do with "the two entries loaded by the dll.xml". I'm sorry to be so thick on this but I,m in fairly unknown stuff now. I have a Windows media thumb drive ready to do a "clean Install" of Windows if necessary. Again, thanks for taking your time to help on this! T
  7. Yes, here is what it says: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SimBase.Document id="dll" version="3,0" Type="AceXML"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> </SimBase.Document> Also found 1 Carenado Commander 114 and deleted it. Ran another test and the same CTD occurred. Rats! ted
  8. Jim, Updated FSUPIC to latest, but I use Sky Force 3d and not Active Sky. It is not installed right now. I did find a file called DLL in the AppData under Roaming here is what it said: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?> <SimBase.Document version="1,0" Type="Launch"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSUIPC 5</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\FSUIPC5.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> The Modules folder in the L/M P3D only contains 4 FSUPIC items. One FSUPIC Document folder, one FSUPIC5 Install text document, one FSUPIC.DLL, and one FSUPIC5.key. After all this I ran the P3DV4 EXE and the same thing happened, no joy this morning. I have NO add on aircraft installed and NO add on scenery installed at all, only a fresh install if P3DV5 from yesterday, No shaders,. Only the Lorby scenery organizer installed. I caused no problems before this episode began. 9. Jim, This crash occurs right when the L/M screen appears at startup, it shows loading scenery files, blue bars twice and then 7 seconds later it all disappears. Never even got to the flight set up screen. Ted,
  10. Thanks for the reinstall suggestion. I have already tried the "windows Refresh" and "Windows "Reset" from the Windows settings page. That was last week and obviously no joy. I started this "hobby" back Microsoft Flight sim 98, then to FS, FS Steam and then made the jump to P3D. P3D has worked flawlessly until one morning when all this started. I have seen others struggle through this and I'm really afraid to do a REAL install of windows 10. Should uninstall P3DV4 again, follow the guide's instruction? Feeling a little paralyzed right now! Ted
  11. First of all, Thanks for the very detailed replys, they are deeply appreciated! Here is the latest WER from a few minutes ago when I tried to start P3D. The WER for some reason does not show todays date so I'm sending the one that shows for 4/22/19 below. I did move the REALAIR aircraft to the desktop prior to this start. 12. Hello, For the last two weeks I have been following all the advice in CTD AVSIM manual with no luck. I'm afraid I have reached the limit of my knowledge to fix my P3DV4 experience. What I see: P3DV4 screen appears for 13 seconds and then disappears. The Task Manager still shows the CPU is running at 13.5% or so. Used the Task MGR to shut P3D down. I have no addon scenery and the REALAIR planes were all accepted and activated by P3D. Here is the info from the DXdiag: [DXDiag notes removed as not needed per the AVSIM CTD Guide. Guide just tells you to look at it for "problems". Information provided (and removed) provides little or not information to solve this task and means nothing]. Edit by Jim Young DxDiag Notes ------------ Display Tab 1: No problems found. Sound Tab 1: No problems found. Sound Tab 2: No problems found. Sound Tab 3: No problems found. Sound Tab 4: No problems found. Input Tab: No problems found. 13. Check out their support page on the Mindstar web site. They will get in touch with you very quickly and sort it out in less that 15 minutes. Something about a FSXSE and FSX registry issue. Click on the "contact us" link and send a short note about your issue. They will take it from there.
  14. Contacted the Mindstar support abd they sorted out the problem. Excellent support!
  15. Yesterday I purchased the DA-42 from Eaglesoft, The airplane installed just fine in FSXSE. However, despite the KAP-140 installer running and saying that the autopilot is now installed, it was not. The AP appears in the instrument panel as a non functioning unit.. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium edition and FSX Steam Edition that is NOT a dual install with FSX. Thanks, Ted
  16. WOW, great catch and thanks for passing it onto Carenado!
  17. Thanks again Bruno, the copilot's ASI now works for me. Interesting solution on this squawk!
  18. What "reset" are you referring to?? On mine, the copilot's ASI has never functioned from day one. Thanks in advance for clarifying!
  19. The copilot's airspeed indicator does not work.
  20. PROBLEM SOLVED. I went back into FSUPIC and deleted all the axis assignments. Then re-did them fresh and saved the flight. My MU now can steer just fine and we are off to see the country. Thanks for helping out! Ted
  21. I don't have rudder pedals, thus the auto rudder requirement. The re-install did not work. think I'm going to start over with the axis calibration and all that. Thanks for the advice. T
  22. Thanks Hangar, but unchecking the auto rudder removed all NWS even above 6 kts. I think I am going to send this MU-2 to the breakers and try a fresh install. Will advise if this fixes the "Glitch". T
  23. Thanks for all the fuel loading advice, But the NGS is still inop below 6KTS. I varied the fuel load in the tips and other configs. No joy. The yaw damper was OFF. Even cycled it On/OFF but to no effect. Somewhere a "glitch" has found a new home in my new MU-2. Ted
