  1. Some updated information on this issue. I have discovered that this problem only happens when using DX9. When I switch to the DX10 Preview mode in FSX. It will allow me to run full screen resolution. The DX10 gives me better frame rates but it is not as nice as the DX9. The nvidia forums are completely dead so not getting much help there. I will keep troubleshooting the issue...
  2. Thanks for the reply. I am hoping someone on the nvidia forums might have an idea. I have been searching the net like crazy. I have tried several different resolutions and changing the wideaspectview setting with no luck. It has something to do with the portrait orientation. I am still trying other resolutions but no luck yet.
  3. I could use some suggestions on this new problem that has come up. I have setup nvidia surround spanning 3- 27" monitors in Portrait orientation. FSX will run in windowed mode, but as soon as i switch to full screen I get a crash. This is the crash from the event viewer in win7 x64:Event ID:1000Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14Faulting module name: nvd3dum.dll, version: 8.17.12.9610, time stamp: 0x4f4e5190Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x0050e0d8Faulting process id: 0x12e0Faulting application start time: 0x01cd0edb2a5c949eFaulting application path: F:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exeFaulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\nvd3dum.dllReport Id: aeca2e9f-7ace-11e1-bf55-5404a640b1bbI have done all the basics like renamed the FSX.cfg to create a new one, turned off overclocking, using latest video drivers, etc. I have isolated the problem to the orientation of the displays. If I change the monitors to landscape orientation, it works in full screen. But not what I am trying to do here. I am clueless as to why the orientation crashes FSX everytime?System specs:Asus P9X79 Pro Intel I7-3930K8GB ram(2) eVGA GTX 570 1.2GB ram eachOS drive is 2TB using SSD cachingFSX on own driveWin7 Pro x64
