OOM take N
Now finally everything seems to be in control. For future problems I had and the solutions -Sim won't load past splash screen: corrupted AIFP conversion from FS9 to FSX -OOM errors: Check RAM settings in BIOS -Crash in 86% while loading flight in some airports: still few corrupted files AIFP has some of ACA2005 functionality for FSX, most of the rest are in ACA2007 Light. If you Jim wouldn't be 500 miles away I would buy you a beer. You have been such wonderful help! Thank you a lot!

OOM take N
My AI is custom built and updated from PAI packages dating back to 2005. Almost everything has been replaced since. Sim works fine without traffic so I guess (sigh) next option is really thoroug housekeeping of my AI. It is going to take days to complete so I report back after I finish it. Fingers crossed it helps. btw. There isn't native FSX cobitable version of ACA2005 is it?

OOM take N
Back to square one. My vendor communicated that changing voltage to 1.65 won't ruin the warranty, so I tried X.M.P profile. Now setting look good but the FSX still won't load with all traffic activated. I can get to select flight screen and even load the flight in middle of nowhere, but JFK or EGGL, no hope. And data from AppCrashView: Fault Module Name : ai_player.dll Exception Code: 0x00037489 I would appreciate any ideas and help.

OOM take N
I did heavy reserch yesterday and some fighting with my vendor. End results were: -Intel really don'tapprove over 1,5V voltage for RAM. If I would burn my CPU with 1,65V setting for RAM it would be out of warranty. http://communities.i...om/thread/30798 -Running 1,65V 1600Mhz memory at full frequency but using only 1.5V voltage could have stability issues. (That's my situation) -1,65V & 1600Mhz is cheaper combination so it is widly used Anyhow it seems that I can have my memory replaced at no cost to 1,5V RAM. Let's hope this really happens and solves my problem.

OOM take N
Sorry to bother you again Jim! I tried with X.M.P enabled, still got the crash but memory frequency is now 1600Mhz. I did bit more research and it seems that I got wrong kind of memory. Apparently Intel CPU want's RAM with voltage of 1,5V and mine are 1,65V. According to this tread it means stability issues: http://www.tomshardw...voltage-setting So much for buying motherboard and memory in bulk package to avoid issues. Time to write to supplier and hope I can change those, I guess.

OOM take N
After I got sorted out corrupted traffic files FSX found new way to irritate me. I'm now getting OOM errors at major airports if I have AI traffic enabled. Small airports load just fine and some times larger airports too. I've now spend a day finding and trying various solutions to this. And two weeks fight to get FSX running. There were no problems with my old setup with only 4gb's of RAM. This new one has 8gb's worth of RAM. Any idea how to forge forward other than dumping AI altogether? I only have few ideas and very little interest to fight with this, so sorry about the irradiated tone. -Is there possibility my RAM is faulty? CPU-Z shows all 8gb's OK though. -I remember reading somewhere ASUS motherboard had issues with RAM configuration. Something here? -Is my 500W PSU unable to cope with my setup, details are in attached image. My graphic settings are in medium and AI traffic slider is in 20% I really would appreciate any help!

FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up
Now my sim works like dream. I'd like to thank you Jim for your patience and superb help! Bottom line problem was corrupted conversion of traffic files from FS9 format to FSX format.

FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up
Hi Jim and thanks again! In holidays I updated my system with new motherboard and CPU, ands doubled the RAM memory. I'm now sure the problem is corrupted traffic files as without them sim works fine.

FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up
Little situation update. Now I have formatted all my hard drives and installed everything from Windows 7 down again. To FSX I only added traffic files and AI aircrafts from backup. I still have trouble starting FSX if more than 250 traffic files are activated. However I found out occasionally the sim gets out of memory errors so there is possibility for corrupted files. (8GB's worth of ram and sim drive has over 200GB free)

FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up
Thanks for your replay Jim! C++ Redistributables 2005 and SP1 are present. The sim starst if I have only one or two traffic files in scenery/world/scenery folder and max 380 airplanes in one folder. I f I try to add all it does not start. I have divided AI airplanes to two folders because that was the only way to get the sim to start up and load them. If I had all 354 airplane folders and around 18,000 texture folders in same airplane folder sim simply won't start. Same thing with traffic files, only the sim will load only one or two. If I have more in scenery folders the sim gives up. I also tried to have all planes in Airplanes folder and all traffic in scenery/world/scenery folder. That link you gave was nice! I have pretty much followed it uninstalling the FSX but not in installing. My PC is due for update after the holidays and that means formatting whole thing after good backups so maybe that will help. -Mikko

FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up
Hi! Firstly, english isn't my native language so sorry about terrible language Secondly, not exactly CTD but close enough - I think. My sim has heavy custom AI with 1600+ traffic files and even more aircraft's. Previously I linked traffic to FSX from FS9 folders but now I'm moving to FSX only setup. Part of the progress I migrated my traffic to newer sim, but after moving traffic files I started to have a mysterious problem. My FSX does not load past splash screen on start-up. So far I reinstalled FSX and now I only have the traffic files and AI aircraft's added to install fresh setup. I've narrowed the problem down to number of traffic files and aircraft folders. When I divided the AI aircraft's into two folders sim will start if I have one or two traffic files added but when I try to activate them all it stays in the splash screen. I followed the start-up progress on Procmon.exe and it shows that after a while the sim starts threat create -threat exit loop that never ends. I've attached a screenshot from end result. Besides complete reinstall I've tried to delete the logbook file, scenry.cfg and FSX.cfg. I've also tried the traffic files in Addon folder and Scenery/World/Scenery folder. Also I've tried whit the traffic in FS9 and FSX format. Operating system is 64bit Win7 and underneath is Radeon 6950 and AMD Phenom II X4 810 whit 4GB's worth of RAM. Simulator has E drive for itself. Does anyone by change have heard anything similar?

Fs2004/ FSX AI to X-Plane
Thansk for your answers woweezowee ans TomSorry Aron. I never intend to be rude, whine for more features or hurt anyone's feelings. It's just that my previous knowledge from this simulator is from one hour try with version 5 back in the days so I need to start from scratch building my knowledge. I thought in the days of social media it would be ok to find information by discussing about the sim and inevitable to compare it to what I already have. But if this kind of topic is taboo I stop it here and sit tight and wait to see what the future holds for X-Plane.

Fs2004/ FSX AI to X-Plane
Hi!This project looks good candidate to replace my age-old FS2004 setup. My biggest issue is of AI. I really like to take it with me - or at least have an ability to build it to the scale I'm used to.I have 1000+ Ai flight plans and adjoining paints and planes to support it. Is there any way to convert whole lot to X-Plane?
