I'm very new to all of this and would love some expert advice on components for a good FSX computer within my budget. I'm a student pilot and FSX has been sitting on my shelf for 2 years b/c it ran so slowly when I tried it on my laptop. I currently know VERY little about FSX or computer components, but I'm learning as quickly as I can. I've found myself feeling very lost and overwhelmed trying to weed through all of the info on these subjects in the forums, so please be patient with my inexperience :-)Intended use: I will only be using this system to run FSX, and possibly a couple of flight combat games (lock-on, RoF...something like that). All of my other computing needs are handled with my laptop.Budget: about $1,000 USItems not needed : my budget does not need to include monitors, keyboard, mouse, controls, or OSPreferred website : I have mainly been browsing newegg, but I have no real preferenceAdditional Info : I will be running 2 monitors to start with and may want to upgrade to 4 in the future.I have had a few builds suggested from other (non-flight sim) forums ranging from $700-$1,000 if anyone would like me to post for critiques, but I would prefer to get some suggestions starting from scratch first.Thank You!
