  1. If I recall i posted this issue before. Here I am trying to fly the Virgin 747-400 and once I have set the fuel, airport origin, time, weather and click on 'fly now' and once everything has loaded and I'm in the cockpit, the minute I click for the outside view of the plane, the whole plane bounces a few times while standing still and the nose wheel collapses. I haven't even gotten the chance to throttle up and its stuttering and bouncing up and down on the runway and the nosewheel just sinks down. I reloaded the flight several times only to have it happen again and again. What's the damn problem here because this is so annoying. It happens with just about every 747 I have on my system, not with any other plane. I just cannot get a 747 off the ground without it 'crashing' before it even gets moving.
  2. I hope you'e right I'll give it a try. Its so annoying when you're lined up ready to roll, release the brakes and the nose wheel collapses. Its also started happening as I'm rolling down the runway. There's this sudden 'bump' and the nose wheel collapses and sparks start flying. I have to end the flight and start again only for it to happen again and again and of course the severe stuttering. So far this is only happening on the Posky AA and TWA 747-100's and its become so annoying I've just stopped flying them. I wish whoever designed these enticing models could at least fix this problem.
  3. Well my Processor is: Intel® Core 2 Duo CPU T5470 @ 1.60GHz. Memory (RAM): 1015 MB. System Type: 32-bit operating system.
  4. Ok its all sorted. I was using Google Chrome then later switched to Mozilla and downloaded all the sound packages I needed. Basically I was taking the entire Winrar Zip file and pasting it into the a/c sound folder without opening/extracting it. I opened the files, copied all the MP3 files and pasted them in the a/c folders and its all done. The planes now sound SO much better than those awful generic sounds. Can you believe it, the Iran Air 737-200 I downloaded had the sound of a turboprop?? Another issue I'm having on and off, notably with the 747's is that when starting a new flight and once you've selected your origin airport, weather, time etc and click on 'Fly Now' when the cockpit first appears, there is this jerking/bouncing motion while the plane is standing still and before I start the takeoff roll and in a few instances the nose gear collapses and 'crash' and it restarts. Sometimes it happens more than once. I've experienced it with the Posky TWA 70's 741, PIA 743, VS 744. Alot of bouncing up and down and if it doesn't suddenly fall forward, it starts dipping forward very slow, sinking into the ground. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a problem with the file or my system? I have other minor issues i.e. no gauges in some a/c, but I'll address those later.
  5. Ok I think I got it figured out. I had to 'extract' the files first then copy the sounds and paste them into the relevant aircraft sounds folder. However alot of them were not extracting because the file was said to be 'empty' even though they showed 50K+ KB so I'm trying to download them again and every time I click on 'download' a box pops up asking for 'authorization' i.e. username and password, even though I'm logged in! I enter my username and password and again the box pops up asking the same thing again and again. What on earth?? How much authorization is required here???
  6. Hi, I'm a total newbie to FS2004, or any FS game for that matter and only recently become addicted to it, so much so that I've actually completed several round the world flights in real time. Having said that I find the generic/default aircraft sounds totally irritating, unrealistic and boring. Most of my models are POSKY i.e. AI, CX 773ER, SV A333, MAS, VS, SIA 744, PIA, SV 743, IR A300, 732, QR A332, 772LR, PIA A310, 772ER, SIA A380 etc. I asked a friend about downloading sound packages and he told me to search for them in the file library so I found what I needed for the relevant models, downloaded and saved them onto my USB to transfer them to my laptop (where my FS2004 is installed) and when installing the USB to my laptop, I copied and pasted the ZIP (compressed) folders from the USB in the following manner: Microsoft Games-Aircraft-Boeing 777-300ER Cathay Pacific-Sound. I pasted the 777-ge-90 folder into the CX 773ER 'Sound' folder. However nothing has changed. The default sound is still there when I tried it out. Then I copied and pasted all the relevant sound packages from the USB to the Microsoft Games folder. Again, no go. What am I missing here? I'm totally new to this and would definitely appreciate some step by step guidance on how to get this sorted out. I'm using Windows Vista btw. Thanks.
