  1. Reminds me of a Congolese Airline : Canadian Airways Congo. It is real. Canadian Airways Congo – Traveling anywhere in Congo (canaircongo.com)
  2. Yeah, I started building my custom AI sine the FS2004 days, and still maintain it with airlines that are not included in OCI and update it manually from time to time. The point in my opinion is not to report something. Either way if someone wants to share his collection, one can do it privately, and noone can do anything about it. But as Dave wrote, the process of creating models, repaints etc is very time consuming and frustrating sometimes, and it would be nice to take some time and visit the sites of those freeware developers. Speaking for myself, even if I install automatically with OCI, I find a few minutes to check the textures. After all, chances are that some of these, I will never spot them in my sim.
  3. How long if you don't mind my asking? Because it normally takes a few hours if you install all of the flightplans, and you have a very nice AI collection. Assuming that you gave some time to go through the documentation and requirements.
  4. I bought LTBJ with discount during Christmas. It is a good scenery in my opinion with fair price even without discount. However there seems to be roads passing through the airport, so it is necessary to turn road traffic off, otherwise you will see lines of traffic on the apron. Hopefully the developer will fix it.
  5. I use this and it makes a ton of difference. It is a major improvement to default ATC, if you don't mind European phraseology. European ATC Phraseology Mod - Version 1.3 (24-Nov-2020) - Third Party Addon Discussion / Tools & Utilities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  6. Default aircraft as AI are framerate killers. No significant impact with aircraft specifically designed for AI traffic (fsx mdl or native glTF). The only problem you might encounter is that if ASOBO/MICROSOFT decide to stop support for legacy models. Then unfortunately everyone have to wait for mdl to glTF conversions.
  7. This is how it is done: AI Traffic in MSFS (Some kind of rough tutorial - the risk is all yours) (alpha-india.net) You need to register, but it is free and it is worth it. As Kai wrote elsewhere, there will be a more complete tutorial at some point. Feel free to browse the AIG forum, there are other useful stuff there. As for the logo lights (and aircraft lights in general), this is a limitation of the fsx models used unfortunately. You can black out the lightmaps at the tail section, they will show fine, but you will have no illumination at night. You will see them when parked though, because of the dynamic lighting, so no big deal. If you have ai traffic from previous sims, then you have a base. Al you need is to replace models (fs9 or p3d) with fsx models, perform some changes in the file structure (tedious, but no pain no gain), and here you go. By the way you will find fsx models at AIG forum, converted legally with permissions granted by the original modellers. This is how it is done right.
  8. The checkerboard shows at pictures 3 and 8 at simmarket. I haven't bought the scenery, and I will not buy it, because I don't care about defunct airports, so I don't know if the developer coded the approach. You can ask him (or them) about that.
  9. If you are on a tight budget, yes it is adequate, however my RAM usage is 14-22 gb depending on the cloud coverage, the addons etc. If someone has to choose between graphics card and RAM upgrade, by all means graphics card should be first priority.
  10. Aerosoft Koln/Bonn off course, which was on discount at the marketplace during Christmas and I instantly grabbed it. I enjoy very much Prealsoft GMMN, which is now on discount at simmarket, and surprisingly very good is Cloudsurf Asia Simulations' WSSS which is a bargain. The price is excellent for the quality. I also recommend Macco Simulations' EGCC, which is WIP, and the developer offers it at a very low price if you buy it now. It is in a very good stage of development and frequently updated. Other that these, I think that FSDT's sceneries offer good value for money (KORD,LSZH,CYVR). Not outstanding, but certainly of very good quality, you will not regret buying either of those.
  11. Oh, in case you go with AMD you should have a good PSU (I have a 650w). I have the XFX RX590 and it runs pretty hot.
  12. Recommended specks by Microsoft are RX590 for AMD. I found this card in August for 170 euros here and I am more than happy (graphics high, clouds ultra, 1920x1080). And 8gb VRAM. Unfortunately the prices now are triple that. You will find it 500 euros at least, if you find it. For NVIDIA I would say 1660s. In any case you should have at least 6gb VRAM and 32gb RAM. With Aerosoft EDDK, RAM usage climbed at 21gb.
  13. That is not true. There are flights by Aegean from Athens to Izmir and Istambul, by Turkish ATH-IST sometimes with B777, and by Pegasus to Sabihah Gokcen. Those flights were daily before covid, but they are fewer now, not for political reasons but due to the pandemic. Politics don't influence business decisions in this case (at least for now).
  14. I had MSFS initially in a 2TB HDD. Although you will experience longer loading times, the sim runs just fine. Installation should not be in windows drive. As Jan Martin observed here : Attention MSFS Users - Maximum Path Length Limitation (alpha-india.net) , it is possible that you will install something that the sim will not read due to character limitation in the paths. For instance you will certainly have this path: C:\Users\theuser\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\.. and you will have more folders inside Community with subfolders and so on. I installed the sim in D:\MSFS with my windows at C drive. It keeps things tidy.
