  1. LOL! @MGH, and how do you know you are right? Because what Microsoft posted in their FAQ? Do you believe everything Microsoft tells you?You probably believe Windows is bug fee too. LOL!THANKS FOR MAKING ME LAUGH THIS MORNING @MGH.
  2. Thanks Frankla,I am new, but there seems to be a lot of sensitive, or childish members on this thread. Why was everyone so down my throat? Is Microsoft Flight a touchy issue? Other than #1, or #2, I stand by my prediction. Either way, I still love FSX and hope FS-11 is in all our futures. Thanks again,WIld.
  3. I just love REX. Thanks for telling me. I don't know how I missed it.On the REX site, they say it has its own weather system. Should I also get ActiveSky? Can they play together nicely?
  4. You guys seem to have a lot more information than I do. Some of you are way more confident than I can understand. I hope you guys are right of course. :-)Clearly from the FAQ, they want a share of the third-party developers. Also, just because they have a marketplace, it doesn't mean they will allow the same type of third party developers they allow now. As for using the Unreal Tournament 3 engine, I can clearly see now that I was wrong about that.If this is just FS-11, why did they fire the Aces Studio?
  5. Guys, this info is excellent. Thanks for getting me started. Thanks again.
  6. Thanks, but I am a little confused. Won't GroundEnvironment X and UltimateTerrainX collide? They are both ground textures. What about ActiveSky? I heard that is amazing.
  7. I know nothing specific about Microsoft Flight, but here is what I think it will be.1. It will use the Unreal 3 engine.2. It will be ported to XBox, the ground detail will be stunning, as in any modern FPS, but it won't contain the world, just 1 or two states of very high detail.3. Additional scenery will be in the XBox Live Marketplace.4. It will be simple, it will not be compatible with FSX, and it will be more a game than a simulator.5.Microsoft will not allow third-party developers. In other words, Nintendo Pilot with Kinnect input.Again, just my opinion, but I usually get Microsoft fairly well. What do you think?
  8. Oops, sorry about that. I will go look. Thanks,
  9. I was surprised to find no concern from 3rd party developers over Microsoft dumping Flight Simulator. I know they are coming out with a new version now, but even then, I am still confused. Your average scenery or plain could easily surpass the purchase price of FSX itself. Now, there platform is gone, but everyone was quiet, or even worst, optimistic. The average response was, "FSX is more powerful than any hardware currently available. It will be at least 3 or 4 years before everyone can run it at max." I understand, but it takes a long time to build a new flight simulator, and who do we have to build it?Let assume Microsoft Flight is just a game. What I would like to see are all the third party developers do is fund a open-source flight simulator project. The project would just be graphics and a basic physics model. The third party developers would simply connect to this framework with their software. What do you think of the idea? What do you think Microsoft Flight might offer?
  10. None really. There is one that lets you control some things in FSX, but it looks incomplete and has bad ratings. I would love a throttle control.
  11. Thanks, I forgot about World of AI. Does this mean you wouldn't recommend Ultimate Traffic 2?
  12. I really miss Timesplitters, hopefully there will be a TS4 someday. You can do it Crytek, I know you can.

  13. Hi guys,I am just getting started again with flight simulator. I used to play around with it before, but I never bought any add-ons and had a crappy computer. Now, I have a dedicated machine with 4TB of room to play.My first question: I am trying to figure out the best traffic simulator for FSX. After some research, I was thinking of Ultimate Traffic 2. Is this a good decision in your opinion? I would love to hear other options. Also, would UT2 allow me to import the AI files from avsim? Thanks guys,
