Advice on a graphics card for a budget FSX PC?
jblcfc replied to jblcfc's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcAh right, nice. I'm moving up from a worn out system with a Core 2 Duo 2.1ghz and ATI Radeon 4300 so I think that will do me just fine.

Advice on a graphics card for a budget FSX PC?
jblcfc replied to jblcfc's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHave/do you run any addons such as Aerosoft or REX? If so, does the 660 run them well? Possibly getting a few Aerosoft airports as well as REX. I plan to play a few other performance-heavy games such as BF4, so that's good to know. Thanks for your help.

Advice on a graphics card for a budget FSX PC?
jblcfc replied to jblcfc's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcAfter reading countless forum posts where people are saying Nvidia is the way to go for FSX, I decided to increase my budget a bit. I am probably going to go for the 2GB GTX 660 (non TI version). It's a good card for FSX then? What sort of fps do you think I would get alongside the i5-4670? Thanks.

Advice on a graphics card for a budget FSX PC?
I am currently in the process of deciding on a graphics card for a budget gaming PC which I will be playing a lot of FSX on. At the moment I have my eyes set on the AMD Radeon R7 260X, which looks like good bang for the buck. Would this, alongside an i5-4670 (3.4ghz), be ok for running FSX well? Anyone here currently using this card for FSX or other gaming? Please let me know what you think, and possibly suggest a better alternative for a similar price. Thanks.
