There's no way this is a normal sound because it happens even when loaded in a cold and dark state. It happens as soon as I load the plane (even in the 'free flight' window that opens when you first open FSX) and it is at least twice as loud as any other sound the plan makes while I'm flying it. It sounds like other people are experiencing it, though, so at least it's not something I screwed up when I installed it...always a relief.

I have the strangest problem with the j41 in FSX...whenever I load the plane from either the FSX main screen or switching planes from inside the sim I get blasted with the sound of turbine engines spinning down that lasts for about two seconds and then everything sounds normal. The sound is abnormally loud.I searched this forum and found several posts from people complaining about loud engine noise in the cockpit during flight but this only happens when the plane is first loaded...afterwards everything sounds great.Any ideas on how to fix this?
