  1. Hi everyone,

I'm sitting on the ground at YWLM (Williamtown Military) parked at the fuel box, with the door open and the parking brake on, and have selected ground power to on at the overhead.

I've been sitting here for about 4 hours (maybe, less) with the electrical and avionics masters, panel lights and cabin lights on, playing with the radios and reading the docs. I walked away for a while and came back and the PFD and MFD were both off, all the masters are still on, and ground power says "ON" when you hover the mouse over it. I can only assume the battery has gone flat, and the ground power never activated when I selected it to ON, or the load was greater than ground power could supply. Is there a way to know when ground power is selected and on, other than hovering the switch?

Is anyone willing to give this a go and see if there is an issue with ground power, or tell me if I've left out a critical step in the process?

    Thanks i advance,

    3.    The toe brakes are always on using my Saitek Rudder pedals.  I had this in FSX but was able to solve it by using  FSUIPC to limit the axis.  I can't seem to achieve that in FSW

Click invert when assigning them in the controller setup. It was the same in FSX and SE. As a test hold both toe breaks down and see if the brakes text on the lower left of the screen goes away. If so, just invert them in the FWS controller setup.

  4. I've got a i5 something with 8 meg and a GTX750. If I set all the graphics options to Low, I get in the 50's. I ended up with the slider set from top to bottom as Low, Med High, High, Med High, Low and get 28's to 32's depending what I'm looking at. The Scenery option had less of an effect than I expected, so it's the one on High. The top one (graphics ?) had the biggest effect, with a 20 drop going from Low to Med High.

  5. Hi Guys,

Just upgraded OpusFSX to the latest 3.50.2 from 3.44.? and TrackIR software is no longer detecting the title OpusFSX is running.

Previous configuration options are still in place and Enable TrackIR is ticked.

The bar at the top of the Opus software says Opus FSI Server - .... 3.50.2 not Opus FSX Server - .... 3.50.2.

I don't know if this is an indication of the problem. Unfortunately I didn't save the previous installer, so I can't check what the previous one said.

Has the name that the TrackIR software uses to determine the title changed accidently in this version.

I also tried the OpusFSI demo as well and TrackIR doesn't recognise this either, but TrackIR doesn't contain a title OpusFSI, so that was expected.

    Thanks in advance,

Edit: Just pulled a copy of the 3.44.2 upgrade from my backup server, and TrackIR is now picking up the title.

Still says Opus FSI Server ... in the title bar, though.

Edit 2: Just ran the whole uninstall of 3.44.2 and install of 3.50.2 again, and now it's happy.

Can't explain that, but all is well now.

  6. Another thing with driving and distance.

When you ask someone overseas how far is it from place A to place B, they will usually tell you x miles or KM.

When you ask someone in here how far is it from place A to place B, we will usually tell you x hours.

We really don't care how far (distance) it is, we just want to know how long it will take to get there.

That's because the distances are huge. Where else can you drive for 10 hours and not leave the state.
