  1. Hello, everyone. I'm General Ryan McNeilly, Army Chief of Staff for the Virtual United States Air Forces (VUSAFS).We are currently open for enlistment after a long period of trying to re-organize and rebuild web features to enhance your Flight Simulator experience. As one of the oldest virtual military organizations, serving the Flight Simulator community since the late 1990s, we are proud to say that we're still going. We'd like you to become our latest addition to our family.Enlistees will have the opportunity to pilot some of the most sophisticated aircraft ever made, with the privilege of serving in one of the four military branches under the Department of Defense. You get to pick whether you fly for the Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps. From there, you'll enter into a world of discipline and professionalism dedicated to representing the values upheld by the United States Armed Forces.Following an accelerated, yet rigorous flight training program, you will receive your commission as a military officer, prepared to lead others into combat. As a part of the Air Combat Command, Naval Aviation Command, or Special Operations Command, you get to participate in your favorite military scenarios. Work your way through the ranks to becoming a senior officer, planning and coordinating mass-scale joint operations.Eligibility Requirements:• Be at least 15 years of age or older• Be able to read, write, and fluently understand English• Have a working version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or newer• Have a working microphone and/or headsetMembers will be required to connect through an FS Host server for gameplay and a TeamSpeak 2 server for voice communications. All activity is done on multiplayer servers consisting of two or more pilots present in order to receive credit.Members do not have to be citizens of or reside in the United States, but must provide country of residence upon applying. All pilots are required to participate in at least three (3) non-training flights per month in order to maintain an active status. Basic Officer Flight Training will require students to participate in at least two (2) training flights per month, to be completed in no more than 90 days. Enlistees may be permitted to proceed through accelerated training commissioning upon request and demonstration of their flight abilities to skip training phases. So, if you think you have what it takes to begin a career in military aviation, sign up now by clicking here.
  2. Attention All,The Virtual United States Air Forces is planned to re-open its doors this Spring, and we are looking for experienced individuals to help us gear up for launch. We are actively seeking pilots interested in flight instruction so that we can properly train and prepare incoming Officer Candidates for combat service. Qualifying Requirements:1.) Be of at least fifteen (15) years of age2.) Have a legal working version of either Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or X3.) Be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English4.) Have a working microphone and/or headset for voice communications5.) Be able to connect to our multiplayer server, hosted on FS HostThose interested will be asked to undergo a brief (roughly 30 minute) checkout with our staff to ensure you are up for the duties of a military flight instructor.Instructors will be instantly commissioned as an officer in either the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps, dependent upon which branch you choose. Instructors will be assigned to the Officer Flight Training Corps (OFTC) and will be given instruction on the training procedures and standards our pilots should meet. Our pilots will typically require ten (10) training flights, spanning from the basics of flight to combat operations. All VUSAFS pilots will be trained in both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. While it is in high demand that instructors be able to teach rotary flight, it is not a requirement, and nobody will be turned down for there lack of helicopter abilities.Instructors will be permitted to take part in any VUSAFS multiplayer flight at their discretion, and will be required to conduct a mandatory three (3) training sessions within one month, OR take part in two (2) non-training flights outside of OFTC.We expect to be launched by the end of April, so anyone interested in gearing up now will not be subjected to our flight requirements until we launch and/or have enough active members to conduct regular operations. If you have any questions or are interested in this opportunity, please email me at [email protected] you,General Ryan M. McNeilly, U.S. ArmyChief of Staffwww.vusafs.org
