  1. I've got a new laptop with Windows 8 on it and FSX runs perfectly here. No issues either. All's running at very good FPS too :-)
  2. How do I search the forums here? I may have had too much wine over the last week but I cannot for the life of me see the search option anywhere... anyone point me in the right direction so that I avoid posting something already annswered here? Thanks
  3. Thanks everyone, very useful info
  4. Hi guys Quick query. When I park up and power off everything, including battery and avionics, if I come back later (say an hour or two) I find the battery has no power, or at least, nothing happens when I flick the swicth. Obvously then I can't start the engine. Am I overlooking something obvious that drains the battery or is there a bug in the sim? By the way, this happens in any plane I use. Any advice would be most welcome. Del
  5. HiA friend of mine sent me this link of Waterford Airport (EIWF). Makes for an interesting portrait of the day-to-day activities in a small regional airport in the south-east of Ireland:http://www.rte.ie/pl...yer/#!v=1142185
  6. Thanks guys, that's spot on. Will experiment a bit with settings to get it just right for my monitor but looks better already just with a simple gamma change.CheersD.
  7. HiI've recently calibrated my monitor and colorsynced it as I'm getting into photography a bit more and want to have more accurate results. A friend of mine did this for me and everything on the photo front looks so much better now. The trouble is that FSX now looks too dark and a bit lacking in contrast. I was wondering, rather than having to adjust my setting all the time, if there is some way, maybe through one of the .cfg files, of adjusting these values so that they automatically load each time?CheersDel
